Ambitious Bronies

Yep, that's what I'll call this... it looks like I'm back to spriting ponies, with the new pony reservation/haven, I no longer have to deal with haters and we are free to build in our own zone :D

Note: Due to the realization that the new zone is 512 blocks large, I've downscaled the project width to 322, on one quadrant of the zone.

Current Ambitious Bronies:

Beese
Camevil
DarkPrime25
ienjoywaffles
Katphish
Koshii
Serenetiy595
thee_pro
rsmv2you

Now, I literally want to build every single main character and background pony in one go, with this humongous 512 322block wide Comic-con poster.

Simply ask us, and showing examples of your previous work will help! :D

(forget that nonsense about spritebuilder, this is far easier to understand, thanks rsmv)
Beese, don't worry about the sides we did, it's not that much and it's the ponies that matter anyway :p

Progress so far:
Zone16

and set max width to 512 blocks on Spritebuilder (no max on height, it will set the optimum max by itself)

I'll need people to help me, we can divide this thing up into different parts to lessen the workload...

So what say you?

So is nobody going to help me in making this?

I would expect people like Beese, DutchCheese, rsmv, redbox, etc. etc. (if they are free)

We can build this in the pony zone, or if cools can't build there, Spritebuilder. If not enough people are interested then never mind, I'll think of doing this some other time...

What I was thinking of through my mind is that each person will have a separate piece of the picture and we'd build that piece individually... Like I said before, it is far easier the more people decide to join.

Beware that the world probably isn't that tall.
This. Spritebuilder is only 256 tall.
Yep I have realized that and what I'm thinking of is possibly putting it on Spritebuilder or simply a flat sprite (either on the ground or the ceiling).

But to make it not block anybody's way on the surface level or cast a huge shadow, I could place it at bedrock level by hollowing out the ground above it then placing glass as a floor some height above it. It could be some type of observational post...

(sprite is 512 x 332)

Or put it at 65 flat on the ground...

It is also only 256 wide.

1024 x 256 x 256

EDIT: Plus you're not even supposed to build them flat. It's supposed to be on the wall.

Yeah but do you think it would look nice like that? Just a sprite flat on the ground taking up space where 3d builds could be. I mean, it's nice to try something new lol... (then again, digging underground would take 512 x 332 x 64... over a million blocks simply to dig without cuboid)

It would be the floor....

I know, but I like the idea of being able to see it beneath you. If you think that's too much work to do without any cuboid then the most logical thing would be to just place it on the floor.
Logic.
Make it the floor at level 64.

Edit: Maybe it's too large, maybe I should change the thread name to "Overambitious"... I could scale it down lol.
one problem: The picture doesn't have tank, rainbow dash's pet.

Just thought about something again... is the world even large enough to fit this thing in there? I can't access Minecraft from school so could you /measure both sides of the zone real quick and check how wide it is? lol

yep, this thing would be as wide as a cool world... it would take up 3 fifths of a cool world if placed flat...

Its sperated into 4 sections, each section is 255 x 322.
I am pretty sure we can ask woot to move one of the borders a bit over.

we'd be taking more than half the world... i think this is too much, hehe i'll think of something else to do...
