Contrary to popular belief, not everyone loves ponies. In my opinion, I've slowly watch T9K go from being relatively normal to turning into a better Ponychan. Look, I love the community, really I do, but it does get a bit too much sometimes.

What really pisses me off, though, is that it's immediately assumed that we're all bronies. I appreciate the fandom, but fuck no, I'm not a brony. I have no inner brony, I don't care for the show, and I really don't like it when the bronies here go "Oh, why don't you like so-and-so?"

Not everyone freaking likes ponies, and to be honest, I'm almost getting sick of it.

I don't feel the claims are exaggerated. And when you say "jns and a few others," that isn't near representative of the actual amount. I mostly just ignore the mlp trash, mostly.

Exactly. We may post sometimes a bit outside but usually we have our limits. Unless vorsprung has any proof of this "in your face brony" claims I really think his post is mostly just over exaggeration.

Over-exaggerated? Jeez, I severly cauterized and censored my post.
It's not so much "so-and-so posted <blah>", it's more the general sentiment around T9K. It would be stupid to disagree that the majority of members are bronies, or at least the majority of notable members are bronies.

I'm not referring to you in general (there has been a few occasions where you've posted replies with pictures in the style of "Why would you post that?", but that's negligible). But it does feel to me as if there's an expectation in the community to like ponies.
I do feel sometimes that the real heart of T9K is being suffocated by all the broniness. I would like to see more about Portal 2 and Dustworld than Derpy.

If people are really getting this worked up over something that actually makes a group of people happy, then maybe you all should reconsider the reason you are here at T9k. Last I checked, you are all still here because you have made friends here as per your own reasons, and we bronies have become friends due to the influx of ponies to this community. (I mainly speak for myself here but I think it can apply to others as well). I wouldn't have gotten a single friend on this site if it weren't for Will converting me, hell I probably would have up and left the community MONTHS ago if it weren't for you guys/gals.

I honestly understand where you are coming from at that stand point of being surrounded by a sub culture that you do not find appealing, and I get what you are saying. But be realistic, do you see ponies on the front page when you join team9000? On the front page physically besides the 3 letters MLP at the top? Do you see a pony banner looming over your head? Do you see everyone on the forums going to you complaining that you aren't a brony? Do you see pictures of ponys in every thread you go to? The closest you come to that would be avatars which should not affect you considering how it is a small image on the side of the screen.

Also, we are bronys because we like the show. You like pyro because you like the character and you like TF2. Do you see us complaining about you having a pyro avatar or posting your pyro pics? No. Yes we may be a majority but we do have the intention to set a limit. Also the owner of Team9000 is a brony. Some of the admins are bronys. They all may have there reasons for liking the show or ponys but it is not as bad as you are making it out to be. Even if you did censor your post to a extent it still does not derive from the fact that we like the show, we are respectable of the boundary's and we do not complain about what you like.
