Anyone else play Pokemon?

Well, there is a little problem. Seismitoad doesn't learn Ice Beam. It and FREAKING MAGIKARP are the only Pokemon that don't learn any damage dealing Ice type moves... Well, it was until B2W2. Now we have move tutors, and Toad can learn Ice Punch and Icy Wind from tutors. So use Ice Punch on Seismitoad. For your Pt team, I recommend replacing Fury Swipes with Flamethrower, because Fury Swipes is useless and Infernape's attacking stats are same, meaning that Flamethrower will deal more damage than Flame Wheel. Espeon's Attack sucks, so use mostly special moves. Shadow Ball can be useful, as you don't have anything to cover Ghost and Psychic types until Skorupi evolves. When you get Rock Climb, get Psychic's TM from Route 211. Espeon doesn't have many other options, so you can fill the rest with other moves. Octillery seems pretty good, but Bullet Seed sucks in Gen IV, so replace it with something else. Octillery has a huge movepool, so you can choose a move that suits your needs. Tropius' Special Attack is higher than it's Attack, so Razor Leaf is somewhat useless. You should replace Slam with Body Slam when it learns it. It's moveset looks good, but you should replace Razor Leaf. Skorupi will evolve when it levels up again, so I'll recommend based on moves Drapion learns. Get Poison Jab TM from Route 212 ASAP. Get X-Scissor TM from Route 221. This should give Drapion some powerful moves. Poison Spikes is somewhat useful in-game compared to SR/Spikes, you can keep it if you want. Acupressure is somewhat random, you can decide to keep it or not. You need a Ground type to cover Electric types. Your best options are Hippowdon, Rhyperior and Garchomp. You can use any of them, they are all good.

Rock slide, then. Still good coverage.

If it's obvious, I have a lot of fun designing pokemon teams. <3 I've designed teams for a few of my friends, and even designed successful single-type teams. I'll be happy to share some of them with you all, as well as give you a team using any 6 pokemon you choose. There is, however, one thing. I refuse to build teams with legendaries. I do not use them, and I hate it when people build a whole team of them. >_< I'm a person who thinks the Poke-tiers are crap, but legendaries one thing I refuse to touch.

I always used the legendary from Sapphire. I can't say I regularly used any of the others, though.

One is fine, usually. Kyogre was a personal favorite of mine as well, but I rarely used him. I did make a Rain Dance team with him, though. <3 Thunder is such a wondrous move in the rain~

Anyway, I meant more along the lines of a team with 3 or more on it. 2 is pushing it a little, but not as bad. I can't deny. I did use a legendary for a short period of time when I was playing Platinum. I used Giratina, mostly because I have a weakness for Ghost pokemon. <3 Stopped using him when I got to the Elite Four, though. :p

Can someone rate my planned White team?

  • Carracosta, ?, Brave Nature.
    • Solid Rock
      • -Aqua Tail
        -Rock Slide
        -Surf
        -Shell Smash
  • Eelektross, Leftovers, any non-boosting nature.

    • Moxie
      • -Earthquake
        -Crunch
        -Stone Edge
        -Cut
  • HAXorus, ?, Jolly Nature.
    • Mold Breaker
      • -Dragon Claw
        -Earthquake
-Swords/Dragon Dance (Also need help chosing which one)
        -False Swipe
  • Sigilyph, Life Orb, Modest Nature.
    • Magic Guard
      • -Psychic
        -Hypnosis

get rid of cut, false swipe, and strength and you should be fine. What levels?

Good Gen V team including Typhlosion and Tyranitar? (My 2 personal favorites...even though it's stereotypically OP, I've used them together since before anyone knew about it ;)...oh and, they've been removed from the championships' ban list as well) I'm not concerned about HMs, as this is just a team to beat some friends in casual play. :)

ON second thought though...any "well balanced" team would be awesome. :p My normal teams consist of an overleveled (fire) starter and 5 HM slaves, to be perfectly honest.

Could you maybe design a team for me? ^.^ I like the well-balanced teams, but I've never been able to create one. :(

I can get the Pokémon myself, I'd just like to get a good team.

Pasa, I will begin working on it immediately. :D Nova, give me some pokemon you'd like to be in the team. They don't have to be the typical "top-tier" pokemon, just some of your favorites. :D Any pokemon has the potential to be amazing. <3

Well, I love Pikachu, Charizard, and Metagross. Those would be the ones I would want on the team. ^.^

This is slightly unrelated, but which do you people think is better accelgor or escavalier? I'm planning to put one of them on my team. In unrelated news my mienshao now knows hi jump kick.

Typhlosion - Either
Hasty
Choice Scarf
-Eruption
-Extrasensory (egg)
-Focus Blast (TM)
-Flamethrower
Desc: A sweeper set. The idea behind this set is to outspeed opponents and use Eruption. Should Typhlosion be injured by entry hazards, or simply damage from opponents' attacks, switch and use Flamethrower as the power move instead. Remember, Choice Scarf limits you to one move.

Tyrannitar - Sandstream
Jolly
Leftovers
-Substitute (Tm)
-Dragon Dance (Egg)
-Crunch
-Stone Edge
Desc: Substitute, Dragon Dance, Destroy, Swag. Leftovers will keep Tyrannitar healthy while you sub and Dragon Dance your way to sweeping the enemy team. Crunch and Stone Edge are very powerful STAB attacks that have good coverage. Be wary of bulky steel types, however.

Forretress - Sturdy
Relaxed
Rocky Helmet
-Spikes/Toxic Spikes
-Stealth Rocks (Egg)
-Rapid Spin
-Gyro Ball
Desc: The (physical) wall. Set-up the entry hazards, Rapid Spin away any that come onto our side. Gyro ball is very powerful under Forretress's command, and the Rocky Helm further damages physical attackers.

Ludicolo - Raindish
Calm
Leftovers
-Rain Dance
-Surf (Hm)
-Energy Ball
-Ice Beam (Tm)
Desc: The Special wall, this set give Ludicolo a prolonged life with the combination of Raindish+Dance and Leftovers. Surf gets a boost from the rain and can easily decimate anything that doesn't resist it. Ice beam as a powerful back-up.

Gliscor - Poison Heal
Serious
Toxic Orb
-Earthquake (Tm)
-Cross Poison (Egg)
-Night Slash (Egg)
-X-Scissor
Desc: Gliscor's a powerhouse, might as well utilize it's move pool. Standard bulky attacker.

Audino - Regenerator
Timid
Leftovers
-Wish (Egg)
-Yawn (Egg)/ Thunder Wave (Tm)
-Thunderbolt (Tm)
-Flamethrower/Ice beam (Tm)
Desc: Support Audino. Sort of the odd ball to throw in here, but Blissey's over used. Anyway, Wish + Switch is always a nice combo. Yawn/Thunder Wave can force switching. T-bolt and IB/FT for coverage.
It requires some work, but It'll pay off overall.

Accelgor is meant to support through Baton Pass, Encore, Spikes etc., and Escavalier is meant to attack (You'll need to breed him with a Heracross so it can learn Megahorn to use at full power, though). Think of which one you need more.

I'm not a fan of baton pass. I think i'll go with the Escavalier. But i don't want to re-trade so x-scissor will have to do, at least it's more accurate. That especially helps when I go through crap like where moves with 85 accuracy or less never hit.
