Battlefield 4

M16A3 W+M1 ftw. That being said, the AN94 is real deadly in BF3 in the hands of someone who knows what he's doing. While it is true that the bullet drop for sniper rifles are high, they are not too bad, with bad being that they shoot vertically downwards from the moment they leave the gun.

No, but I do like how bullet travel and bullet drop are included in the game, unlike call of duty, which someone mentioned. I agree that the bullet drop for sniper rifles should be reduced but not too much, else it would take away too much of the Battlefield franchise's amazing physics. What I'm also interested in are the maps, which were mentioned to be terrible in BF3. I don't think badly of them, Caspian Border being a really good map, but Metro is definitely meh. As is Operation Shitstorm.

I look forward to hardcore urban warfare with battles taking place in apartment buildings where u move through rooms and houses floor by floor and fight through doorways and corridors. It'd be real interesting. Also, I want to know what kind of vehicles and weapons will be included in the next game. LazorRifles with 100 rounds per mag dealing 50 damage per shot? or a rideable nuclear missile? Potential everywhere~

so you like the maps Call of Duty have/had?
there are meny other diffrent maps that i personaly like but you think of the map in a diffrent way depending on what class your going for,
Like example big maps: Enginer, Assault and sniper are possibly the biggest choices there.

small maps with Closequarter combat like Grand-Bazaar or Operation Métro so is it biggest chance people choose: Assault, Enginer and Support(possibly sniper in start or sniper w/o the sniper rifle)
the game changes depending on your game style and your actions.

Like me i Love close combat and with that i mostly use M60E4, in other hand when playing rush on Métro i often go with sniper First, and after winning/lossing the first base i go with a diffrent class.

i don't mind the bulletdrop that much for am mostly close combat fight AND sniper.
so the bulletdrop dosent really matter when am anyway allways shoting a bit over the head just by Default.

playing as a sniper in BF3 and CoD is Big diffrence, i'd say its actually Harder playing as a pure sniper in CoD then BF3 Even if BF3 got this bulletdrop, so have i gotten used to it.
(its only my opinion But, what do it matter if you enjoy the game while playing it?)

I don't like grouping CoD and BF together and comparing them. CoD is a fast paced laser bullet type game whereby u click and the guy gets hit. Its a lot more simple and less thinking is required. Not to say that its a bad thing. since every now and then my brain tends to want to shut down anyway. BF has more tactics and teamwork required and usually demands more braining.

As for the maps, they suit their purposes, with obviously much smaller maps in CoD than in BF. Obviously also because a CoD game tends to have around half the number of players as a BF one. Also to note, since CoD release much more games than BF, they also have much more maps and thus makes it harder to judge them equally. But if we were to compare the latest CoD game, being Blops2, with BF3, then i would say that I have much less to complain about the CoD maps than the BF maps.

I agree that the map will be played differently depending on which class you choose, but I consider myself pretty adaptable, so I'd just change to whichever class is needed at the time. Usually that just means I'm defibbing my way up to top score with a 1-50 K-D in Metro conquest or running around with a repair tool trying to take down enemy tanks. Or throwing C4 on a jeep and driving around madly like a retarded terrorist.

We should play BF3. You sound like the most awesome teammate.

i dident mean to compare those 2, i just took the first game that came to my mind..

and i personaly don't see why people complain about the maps anyway if you don't like them don't play on them ´, it isent that much of a deal now is it?

I will only say this Once and i know people will hate me for it But.

If you don't like either the game OR the maps FROM the game then don't play it/Or them, i have NO right on complaining on CoD for i don't play it same with people that don't play BF3 YOU don't have the rights to complain on something you do not know, and IF you do play the game then DON'T complain on the map you choose to play.
You can leave a match when ever you want.

If theres something about a game you don't like think about what you actually like and if there is none Then Don't Play It.

This is my Final stand on this Thread after that you Might think what ever you want for it wont Matter to me, IF a game is good and you like it Don't complain on such small things like: It could been like This insteed, but remember One thing atleast Its easier to see wrongs and fails then it is to see Success and No wrongs and fails

EA is on a tyrad while they can still market game after game.

I like bf3 til i realized how much bullshit it is. The game does not do the actual weapon justice. I hate shooting some one 5-10times with a rounds that are amazing. Seems silly. Also 1/2 weapons shoot 556 and 1/3 shoot 545 and the rest are random. missing several important calibers.

sorry for erros my breain is fried

Whoa, tone it down a little, you sound like a crazed EA PR gone worse. I'd like to point out that I've been taking a very neutral stand and pointing out both the good AND bad points on the game. You make it sound like I'm out to destroy game reputations.

True, if you don't like it, don't play it. But when its a game people are looking forward to, and "you" being the game dev, I would expect "you" to make the game at least enjoyable. It is up to us if we want to buy the game or not, but as an ADD gamer who constantly needs something new to play, when they make a shitty game that isn't worth buying, I'd have to wait another year, or many years, for the next game to come out. And maybe, just maybe, that new game might be better and worth buying.

As customers, we're "investing" money and time into their games for our "payout" of fun and entertainment. Maybe not anyone thinks of it this way, but I certainly do.

One of my few gripes with BF3 is that the weapons are a nightmare to handle.

A combination of insane amounts of ADS spread and high recoil make killing past a fairly short distance a nightmare, even with the "easy to control" Assault weapons such as the M16, M416, and AEK.

This is obviously more realistic than Call of Duty's laser guns, but I think they took it a step too far. Bad Company 2's weapons were a great combination of realistic and fun to use.

(Note: Yes, even on the PC version weapons are a bit of a pain to handle. On the consoles, it's a complete and utter nightmare.)

I'm most certainly going to get this game for the PC, although it costs a whopping USD$80 ( to pre-order with all the DLCs)... But promotional codes can reduce it down to $48. Which is much more reasonable. I'm going to need help finding those.

I miss BF3 dearly, with all my C4 shenanigans... Planetside 2 just doesn't do it for me.

You'll find me on the battlefield once more, then less often when everyone ranks up to ridiculous levels of super sand lesbians.

I'm also going to get Dark Souls 2 for the PC.

So yeah, putting money away for great games (hopefully) with great predecessors.

Ah yes. Dark Souls 2. Atlus's giant middle finger to casual gamers, their big "fuck you" to easy games. Gotta love them. Also because they made Persona 3/4 and probably the earlier ones as well. As of now, the games that I'm looking forward to are BF4, Dark Souls 2, Metro: Last Light, and dare I say it? The next CoD.

I remember back when BF3 came out, and the months leading up to it...

I feel like none of the weapons in BF3 had any... what's the word... character to them. Every weapon of one class would feel the exact same as the other. Most if not all of the assault weapons would have the same damage, same mag sizes... the only thing setting them apart was recoil and rate of fire. Now I do NOT want to compare this to CoD as I have long since abandoned CoD but one of the things I liked about it (and this comes from other shooters as well) was that every weapon felt different. If one weapon had a larger or smaller cartridge, the damage of the weapon would be adjusted accordingly to the ammo it used. I mean hell, it was hard if not impossible to find a weapon that didn't sound different as compared with all the other weapons in BF3. Every single weapon ever in the game made a *poof* sound that sounded identical to the next. Try and point out one that doesn't.

Onto the next concern. I did not like BF3 for the engine. I felt that the engine sucked. However, after watching the 17-minute BF4 trailer, it seems as if the engine improved quite a bit in several areas, even though it is a near replica of what was in BF3. Although the game is still in testing stages, the shaders have been substantially improved, texture quality looks crisper and not meshed together like in BF3, the weapons obscure less of the screen and the ADS is a lot less tacky from what I can see. Also, I am loving the holographic sight in BF4, I didn't really like it in BF3.

Also, THEY NEED TO FUCKING TONE DOWN THE STINGERS AND HOW EASY IT IS TO DESTROY AIRCRAFT. I mean son of a bitch, in BFBC2 if someone had a helicopter, the whole team would be like "SHIT, IT'S AN APACHE S ASDSDFGJKMASDHFHGAKFG GET DOWN DFGKLJARGFASFH" but in BF3, it was like "Oh look, a helicopter. Brb it's dead". I think of BFBC2 as a FAR better game than BF3. Weapons had different characteristics in every aspect than the other, give or take a few weapons. I mean, for example the MP412 sounded like an actual revolver firing a .357 round, not like BF3 where every handgun in general sounded like a paper queefgun.

Another thing. Scope glare at nighttimes and scope glare in general needs to be fixed / nerfed. Just because 1) it's motherfucking daytime and 2) you might as well have snipers spotted by default.

Whether or not you all agree with what I have said so far, I think it is pretty unanimously agreed apon that the destruction in BF3 was absolutely horrible. There was none of it to be had, you couldn't tear down buildings, destroy the environment, or anything really as compared to BFBC2 (inb4 hurr bc2 has nothing to do with bf3 you tit)

But yeah, despite all that there was to complain about in BF3, I have always believed that the BF series had an extreme amount of potential, but that it was up to EA / DICE to not castrate it, which may seem a lot to ask for sometimes.

Fingers crossed that BF4 outshines all the past Battlefield games. It looks promising thus far and it's been ages since I have looked forward to a game.

You better have pre-ordered Metro: Last Light Kon otherwise you'll be extremely pissed off (You have to pay $5 to access ranger mode if you haven't pre-ordered because the developers and publishers are douchebags).

Bad Company 2 is miles ahead of Battlefield 3 in everything but graphics for all of the reasons you just listed and more.

So.. yeah. Long time until then. Australia gets first dibs.

Still i missed the cheap-ass pre-order that came out on April. But if if so happens if there's any more special offers coming up. Bump this thread. You'll receive one like and a snippy comment. In the mean time, civilized conversation flame war in this thread please.

I actually just bought a physical copy of Metro Last Light a couple days ago and it was selling for the same price as on steam, but in Singapore dollars, which is 20% less. And it was the limited edition, which means I get all the pre-order bonuses as well. So yippee! And on the topic of Metro Last Light, my rig cant handle it on full AA without dropping down to 10 or less fps. Its probably because I'm using a AMD GPU, and Metro was clearly made to suck Nvidia's dicks. I haven't played it much yet but I'll get around to it eventually.

And on the topic of BF4, not surprised at all about the whole premium/season pass deal with it. They should have done away with battlelog though. This is going to be a bigger pain in the ass than before if they are going to make BF3 run on "Battlelog 1.0" and BF4 run on "Battlelog 2.0", forcing people to download their stupid little plugins for both games separately.

Battlelog is still stupid though lol

They should just get rid of that shit and track stats in the game itself. And while they're at it, they should just integrate the server list into the damn game instead of making it fuckin browser based.

i am passing on all battlefield games from this day until the end of time. all EA does is pump them out with no regard for what players want or fixing bugs in them. almost as bad as Activision and CoD.
