Why?
The voice acting was kind of terrible but honestly, this aired during the era of transitioning from toonami and ed,edd, eddy to the crap shows they air now.
It was probably one of the few last good shows that aired that was new.
The thing I loved about Code Lyoko is that, unlike most shows with a superhero-like theme, the enemy was really fucking hard.

In just about every other TV show, the good guys are much better than the bad guys. In Code Lyoko, their enemy (can't remember what it was called, but it was, like, some sorta computer) was fucking difficult. It fucking smited those half-Japanese kids every single day.

In that way, it was more interesting.

Amiright?~

I fucking love you.

I never really looked at it like that but you are absolutely right.
Also, I loved the show for 3 reasons.
1.
Shes fucking awesome:

2.
Every time they went to the control room/teleport room to go to lyoko always looked bad ass.

3. The theme song kicked so much fucking ass.

Nostalgia this!
To be honest, I have never, before this week, ever seen this show or any trace of its existence. Literally, I know nothing about it, I've never seen it on TV or anywhere else, for that matter. What is it? Where did it show, and when? I must be living under a rock...

Code Lyoko was a show that aired back in the early 2000s from 2003 to 2007 running over 95 episodes over 5 seasons. The show was so unique due to the universe, concept, and animation concept it created. In the real world for the actual show it has anime style animation. In the show there is a digital world where a evil type of creature known as Xana (I think thats it) lives. They go in and repeatedly try to defeat Xana. Once they enter this "digital world" the animation style for that world is 3d animation for the actual show. The other unique things about the show is that Xana was probably one of the hardest evil villains in a tv series. Like literally you never see him, he has thousands upon thousands of minions who are very hard to defeat and I cant recall if they ever even defeated him in the series.

All in all has really captivating characteristics for the characters and keeps you entertained especially due to the action they put into it. In the early seasons the budget didn't seem at its highest but as it progressed into the seasons it gained a better budget and the 3d animation and voice acting got way better.
Saw mostly every episode and loved every minute of them.
