Why?
The voice acting was kind of terrible but honestly, this aired during the era of transitioning from toonami and ed,edd,eddy to the crap shows they air now.
It was probably one of the few last good shows that aired that was new.

Also, a nice comment I saw on that video that I really REALLY hope comes true.

the US had it's time. The 90s and early 2000's were full of amazing shows. Powerpuff Girls, Danny Phantom, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Hey Arnold, Ren and Stimpy, Samurai Jack, etc. But then in 2004, the 90s ended, and now we're just waiting for the generation to recycle.For the children of the 90s to start making cartoons of their own and capture that experience. For now, however, we must survive off the amazing cartoons produced in other countries.

Then you get older and start watching futurama and southpark. Hopefully the same thing doesn't happen to those shows as well.
