Started to think the only way to advance was to build as much work as possible, no one even looked at my page for three days.

Well you have to first know that the few of us who can promote do have lives out side of this game so we can't always get to the promotion threads right as you post them. Secondly the amount you build does help in the promotion but it's also the quality of the builds in question that also matters. Along with time spent on the server being in active builder and how well you interact with your fellow players.
