It's not the end of the world, just derp around until it's stable and then things will be fine, the dragon egg is not that important.

the current spot we found before the inventory wipe is : 1300 -2100, it's a nice flat forest next to a big lake
head over there and wait till we found the town, go mining and clear up some of the area.
