Whenever people think of Asians, they always tend to think of Japanese, Koreans, and Chinese, they seem to forget that Thais, Filipinos, Indonesians, Malaysians and Singaporeans are Asians too.

Also, Thailand does qualify to be within Asia, so I don't know what difference you are trying to imply here. They're pretty similar to the Chinese.
