I would argue that in an emergency situation, very few doctors would be of any use, even the ones in the emergency section of the hospital. In an emergency, you want to call for paramedics, who are used to dealing with an uncontrolled and non-sterile situation, and can come up with a solution quickly using available materials. Lacking a paramedic, a trained first aider would still be preferable to a doctor.

Nope. Unless it's a pet in dire need, because veterinarians are a little bit different in the way they have to handle their practice.
