Animal crossing. Simple, fun, clear goals, no violence.
It is really slow but relaxing. I would probably compare it to animal crossing but I think theres more things to do and actually has some consequences if you don't do something right. It has a somewhat dark element because the harvest fairy turned into stone because people didn't love each other anymore and the only other human who could see her thought that "you humans are all the same" and is jealous of you because the elves went to you instead of her. People in the town marry eachother and move to and from the city and you can marry anyone (who is of the opposite sex) even the person you are competing against.I actually loved this game, and I agree that it would be a good choice for the older generation.
One of my favorites for some reason, but again, amazing choice for the older generation.
I've heard this is a pretty down-tempo game, never played it myself.
The action sequences might be a little much to start with, but it's a good game and has the sort of story-telling many older folk love. Plus the puzzles are stimulating and a good way to focus.
-_-
I have SSX Tricky and SSX Tricky 3. The first is better, IMO.
