I actually loved this game, and I agree that it would be a good choice for the older generation.

One of my favorites for some reason, but again, amazing choice for the older generation.

I've heard this is a pretty down-tempo game, never played it myself.

The action sequences might be a little much to start with, but it's a good game and has the sort of story-telling many older folk love. Plus the puzzles are stimulating and a good way to focus.

It is really slow but relaxing. I would probably compare it to animal crossing but I think theres more things to do and actually has some consequences if you don't do something right. It has a somewhat dark element because the harvest fairy turned into stone because people didn't love each other anymore and the only other human who could see her thought that "you humans are all the same" and is jealous of you because the elves went to you instead of her. People in the town marry eachother and move to and from the city and you can marry anyone (who is of the opposite sex) even the person you are competing against.

But yeah it is really slow

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. One of the best games for gamecube. I could play this one for days.

Suggestion is to keep it simple at first as Tetris Worlds is a relatively simple games. anything with elaborate control systems or such might be a bit much at first...just saying.

I have SSX Tricky and SSX Tricky 3. The first is better, IMO.

Mario Kart. I grew up with that game, and it's freakin' brilliant. Especially if you want multiplayer.

Also, if he had a PS1, I'd go instantly for crash. I have no idea why, but that game changed my whole childhood.

I do not own a Gamecube and I am not familiar with the titles, but there must be some sort of pinball game for it. Everyone knows the pinball mechanic and the controls are usually very easy to grasp. Plus the element of high scores makes it tons fun to play with others.
