Stolen from his actual Ban Appeal Post:

I appreciate the support Tsy and Thee, as to the other comments, as I've said I fully understand I need to watch the attitude going forward. Whether I will have a chance to do so remains to be seen however.

Sven, I hate you and everything about you at this moment. You accuse me of hacking, cheating, being someone else, and a host of other general insults. However, I think most of us "old boys", as you call us, would be willing to accept an apology and a complete about-face in attitude. We aren't a vicious, elitist community; but a lot of us ARE good friends (many IRL) and will stand together when you insult one or several of our friends. In general, don't be an ass to anyone, and you'll get along fine here. We were all new at one point, and we all understand that sometimes it seems like there's a 'club' that you'll never get into. Stick around for a bit and you'll start to understand the in-jokes and old memes; and the community we really are.

I don't know. Aether has brought up some fairly valid points there.

Look, Sven, in the past, I made a concerted effort to be nice to you. I had heard good things about you and had seen you on the forums, and I wanted to make myself known to you. But in all honesty, I've only ever recieved scorn from you. And if it hasn't been me, it's been towards my friends on the server.

Everyone deserves a second chance. I think you have been ruined by the fact that you've never played on one of the permanent, heavily regulated and frequented servers. If you had, your opinions on us could have been different.

Personally, I'm still pissed off with you. But that's life; and I'd rather build bridges than burn them (and that in itself is a Minecraft double entendre).

I'm just going to say here that I'm extending the hand asbestos-lined glove of friendship.

Looking forward to a fresh, clean slate and for you to get un-banned in the future,
Vorsprung

I'm not going to get into an argument with you or anyone else on this thread in great detail. I will simply say that at bare minimum I don't feel that you or Aether are presenting particularly balanced accounts of what actually took place. Yes, I acknowledge I haven't always had the best attitude. That does not mean that every conflict I have ever had with any other player on the server has been entirely one sided. Beyond that, I'm not really interested in revisiting old conflicts, if you actually want to discuss them, you are more than welcome to PM me about it.

I could go into all sorts of long winded explanations of the personality clashes that I've been involved in thus far, but I am not interested in making excuses or pointing fingers. I'll take my lumps and learn a lesson from the situation, and if given the opportunity, I'll come at the game with a new perspective. If not, so be it. I'd like to be able to contribute to the server, but if not that's the breaks.

I think your past actions have kinda spoken for themselves. Whether or not you did a lot of helpful things for other people and contributed towards other players, you still were a ass to a fair amount of players and were not very appreciable of actions and lengths woot has done to make the server a good one. You may have been nice to other players but guess what, those were your actions, as the same were your actions towards certain members personally. We have had a lot of players who contributed a whole bunch towards the minecraft servers, but it was there attitude and there actions that ended up getting them banned, and a LOT of them never got unbanned. You held responsible for your own actions, and if you are to learn from them, then learn from them and take responsibility and accept the punishment for them.

No, his really didn't. I was talking to you personally, telling you to man up and learn from your mistakes and your actions and take responsibility for it. His post does not condone or relate to any of that.

I'm new to T9K Survival as of Beta 1.8.
In my limited dealings with Sven, he's been a solid player. He helped me un-grief Bulls Head when it had lava dumped all over it. He actually dropped everything he was doing to run across the map to help me with that.
Since then, I have not seen Sven be negative in chat. Although, I am new so I don't know about old grudges. I like seeing familiar names, especially when those people have proved to be helpful and nice.

To me, it's a loss that Sven is gone, although I understand people have their reasons.

I think it might have been more constructive to give a warning first, like "we're considering banning you for your attitude" or something. The way the ban has been presented seems out of the blue.

Pretty sure sven is blowing it. Your good credibility with some players hardly counts if you are a complete ass to others. I have gotten into quarrels with people on here but for the most part both parties act like adults and when someone extends an olive branch, don't swat it away just because:

Kind of seems like they do since your attitude is what got you here in the first place.

Given that I've already stated clearly and repeatedly that I understand the need to change the attitude, posts such as yours seem more like sadistic 'kick someone while they're down' opportunism than any actual desire to contribute to the conversation. While I'm sure its fun to look at this as a chance to 'win' or take revenge for some perceived slight to a friend of yours that you barely understand, it isn't particularly credible.

From a practical perspective, think about what the potential results could be should Sonic decide to unban me. The reality is, whether or not I'm unbanned, I've learned a lesson from the situation and my attitude has already changed as to how I approach dealing with others in the game. Really the only possible outcomes are either I come back with a changed attitude and contribute to the server in a positive way, or as you seem to think is the case, my attitude hasn't changed, in which case Sonic would surely just permaban me anyway with no chance of appeal.

I know it keeps being ignored, but its worth a try anyway. So I say again, I'm not sure what positive will come of turning this thread (or my actual ban appeal thread, which this seems to have morphed into somewhat) into an argument over old disputes. Really at this point it comes down to whether Sonic is willing to give someone a shot at actually learning something and coming back to the server with a changed attitude, or whether he would rather simply dismiss me entirely. That choice is his to make and I'll respect whatever decision he comes to.

Your response to Vorsprung and Aetherrack contradict this statement.

If you look, earlier in this thread I tried to give you some good advice and voted toward giving you another chance... Then you start being an ass to other members after they say:

willing to accept an apology and a complete about-face in attitude.
Looking forward to a fresh, clean slate and for you to get un-banned in the future

Good luck to you dude. I don't wish a ban on any active member of the community but you might have to stick this one out for a while. Like I did...

I know I may be beating a dead tree at this point, but when I first met you (on classic) Sven, you didnt seem like a bad guy. However, anyone can make presumptions about another without being in their presence for a solid amount of time (I, for one, have been on survival for a generous while, mind you not nearly as much as others). Though you may not mean all of what you say, it may appear to some that you are of a facetious nature, and we just want you to "smarten up a bit", that's all.

My 2cents:
Sven is a nice guy(Edit:most of the time), to some he may be an ass, but, i do have to agree with some of his judgement.
I think sven deserves one last chance. also, a few of u talk about a new start, so why are old fueds being brouight into a "new Start" for sven,hmm...

One of the main reasons I find defending Sven easy is because I myself have difficulties with being unwittingly offensive, or hard to be around. For me, it usually takes someone flat out telling me that my attitude is offensive for me to even become aware of it. In this particular case, the lack of communication on the part of Sven's critics before he was banned is what's been annoying me the most. In game, he's a dependable, helpful guy, and, in hoping that people will do this for me as well, I let his actions (which people like 'rsmv2you' have not been online enough to witness) speak louder than words.
