Goodbye, Megaupload.

That's right. Yesterday, during the Great Internet Blackout of 2012, the US federal police decided to shut down the worst websites without SOPA. They went and shut down megaupload.

I think that this is the end of the internet as we know it, pushing into a more dystopian one where things are blocked or shut down.

But I didn't use that site anyway.

Discuss.

I hope they don't stay shut down, they're too big of a file-sharing website to just go.

I think they seized the servers and arrested everyone who worked for them.

AND they are all in New Zealand.

Oh, and someone on reddit posted

This is their show of power for what happened yesterday.

How the hell did the US federal government get to new zealand?
Didn't you know how the American government seems to see the rest of the world?

I'm going to move to the wilderness and survive without the internet if they take down Pornhub

Well at least Wikipedia, Google, and all the other blacked out sites made a huge dent in SOPA yesterday. Now millions more know about this horrible thing, and they all agree it is horrible.
