I cannot access Mumble since I do not know how to update.

I have the file provided on the home page.

How do I use it?

I believe the installer has been patched by now, so you should be able to just re-install the "stable" version from their website.

When I used the installer, I used change and repair.

Neither of which fixed it, I still get an error

Copy the file on the homepage over the file you already have in program files/mumble or program files (x86)/mumble
 
I continue to get the "A referral was returned from the server" error message, even after copying the files.
 
I completely uninstalled Mumble and re-installed it.

Now that I am trying to launch v.1.2.4, it does not do shit.

I have tried to place the .exe file into the correct area, but then a NEW error shows up.
 
I'm not sure what could you could possibly have done. That's really weird. All I had to do was replace my mumble.exe with the file wooty put up. I wish I could say more, but I'm not sure what to tell you.

I guess all I can say is that your Mumble version should be 1.2.3a, not 1.2.4.
