I died because of the unfixed world setting :(

the server has been down for some time and it was currently being fixed then
when I saw the server was back online and had people on, I tried to log in...
I got in the server and it was just all pitch black, I pressed tab asap
and sonic and one other person was there then I started suffocating...
I logged out before I died then I realized gravel probably fell on me or something,
so after spending time on chat waiting for the server to get fixed
(I wanted to make sure the server is fixed before i went back in coz I might die)
sonic finally said that the server was finally officially fixed on a thread...
I went back in game but i was still suffocating, I tried to dig the blocks where my head was
but it said I had no permission for that area so I died... I thought it was some glitch or something
so I just tried to get to where I died so i can get my items (I had a fortune 3 and several diamonds on me O_O)
but when I reached my mine in mining world, I cant open my dirt entrance because I cant mine!! O_O


can I please get my items? can an admin get my items for me? my fortune 3 diamond pick at least...

they would still probably be there if they didn't despawn maybe an admin could get them? please

I logged out once about a week ago, standing in my own condo plot, and when I logged back in I suffocated in a wall - due to a bug in the game I assume - and lost my diamond pick and sword because it takes so long to swim back to the condo plots from spawn. I doubt anyone really cares about what we lost though, Renz!

but this is different... I died because of something which was forgotten to be fixed because if it was fixed I could've dug myself out before I suffocated AND even if I died die, I could've went back to my mine and got my items if I could dig but I couldn't dig it got me twice man!

Whenever people have an issue on SMP, Classic, or whatever, they're often very douchey in the way they deal with it. I dunno if it's just me, but the way you've phrased this initial post seems whiny and annoying.

I've seen many people ask stuff of Woot - T-shirts not arriving, plot issues - you name it. And people have been absolute shits in their delivery.

Please. People. Stop being so whiny and so god-damned self-righteous. T9K is a privilege, and a lot of you forget that.

I don't mean to call you out Renz, but still - remember that although you may be frustrated, it doesn't excuse biting the hand that feeds you, as it where.

what my statements look like to people since I don't see facial expressions,
I am just pointing out why I believe it's an issue to be fixed
because if it was just because of personal lag
then it's an issue non related to the server...
so yeah, I am pointing out that it is server related..
I don't know how else to point it out...

actually I've reread and rephrased my initial post several times before I posted it

On the other hand, it sounds like that's precisely what happened - a whole bunch of things went wrong You're quite right, you can't see people's facial expressions on the Internet, nor body language, nor hear tone of voice, which does affect communication, so it's probably best if when people read stuff on the Internet, they give people the benefit of the doubt.
