I don't use w3schools, but it is by far the best way for people who are starting out to understand the basic gist of things.

and realistically it's impossible to rely on w3schools either way, a big part in self education of programming is to go out and to do your own research and grow your knowledge from a variety of different sources*.

*this exponentially expands as you become more and more commited.

there isn't too much point in learning html without atleast learning css and js but I guess theyre just trying to pack in a good overview of languages and language types for you guys
We got CSS and html together in the same semester.
