If you mean the future technology in present day then no it would cause the item to evolve more, E.g Tom brings back a matter transporter from the future, however it is very large. Present day humans study it and discover how it works, since they discovered how it worked before it was actually invented logic suggests it becomes more compact as time increases. Since john brought it back from the future it keeps decreasing in size as the future version is an improved version of the current one which was originally brought back from the future. Sorry if this makes no sense but I am typing this on a phone and I'm rushing it.

If I do ever achieve these powers which is a very remote chance but anyway if I did I would be far to busy visiting different times to just pick one and learn about its technology, I would simply just transport it back to present day and go back to the future ( no pun intended ).

Mine would be... To be able to switch lives with ANYTHING in the entire world, a character in a book, movie, tv... Anything, anyone. I choose this because I always find myself saying, man I wish I knew what it was like to have that to feel that to be that. I know it's really weird and I've also said it before, I'd be Katniss, from hunger games first. And then Aang the avatar second, which would be totally epic.

The power to create any power. This will last infinitely. I can change powers at will, have multiple powers at once, or all powers at once. This includes the power to become a penis that flies off into the sky shooting lasers from my urethra whilel blasting space scrotums with my frozen pee while spinning the Earth with my super speed and super strength. Then turn back into a normal human while mantaining the power to create powers.
