I'm feeling lost.

For some time now, I've felt like I've been born a generation or two too late, I feel like I'm born in a generation of pointless restrictions and standards only benefiting someone with more money, to make more him more money, and a generation that is expected to have the experience and social/financial stability of our parents, going straight out of whatever educational institution we decide to go trough. Instead of actually being able to live our lives and developing our skills in something we love. (Admitting that is not impossible now, but is very difficult without someone supporting you financially) Yet I'm supposed to be proud to be living now, cause of some breakthroughs that will most likely never affect me, or I don't really give a shit about and/or could do without.
I guess what I'm saying is that I wish I was born earlier and somewhere else (yes that as well)

of course this is my biased opinion, and might have to do with the fact that I'm a poor fuck.

Anyways anyone who feels like this? Or maybe feels the complete opposite, feel free to post a grand wall of text about our totally radical generation or just tell me to stfu and stop whining. I just felt like some of you guys might understand.
Also forgive this threads great lack of correct structure and other grammatical goodies
If it makes it any better I'm foreign

I guess we all go through that stage at least once throughout our lives. "Why does my friend have more opportunities in life than I do due to his or her financial situation", "Why am I inadvertently forced into pursuing a path in life not chosen by me due to a lack of skills taught to me by our schooling system", and so on and so forth.

I don't believe that you can simply say that this train of thought is only applicable to recent generations and is more of an unchanging factor that has influenced the lives of many through all ages of time but that's beside the point. I once and sometimes still have thoughts like these and in the end I've just decided to accept reality for the cruel and hard mistress that it is.

This is a cop out where you're feeling sorry for yourself.....
Tough Love here... Life is what you make it....
People with silver spoons in their mouth became beggar, and 'poor kids' become billionaire's

understand it ain't always going to be pretty, but there are those that do and those that bitch about it. You don't like it.....change it.. Find the opportunities and goals and work for the next one.

It’s a cliché, but life is a bitch.
It’s easy to feel disenfranchised – the world is full of mechanisms and machinations that serve to work against you.
But it’s not all bad.

Our modern world gives people opportunities. If you work hard enough, study hard enough, if you’re nice enough and you’re savvy enough you can go far.
Sure, money lubricates the wheels of success – but if you put the hard yards in, you can get money. If you’re committed, you’ll spend that money on stuff that’ll help you succeed.
More and more, the world gives people opportunities to succeed. There’s always going to be setbacks and people are always going to be dickheads but as long as you do something about your life you’ll go far.

The modern world has its boons and its curses. But you'll never be able to transform the whole world. Just make the best with what you've got.

Couldn't have worded it better myself.

Become a Libertarian. It will make you feel that you have a chance (and if enough people do the same then you will have one).

Good Luck.

I dunno, blaming the government seems like a cop-out.

Also, how does this work.

"I'm now a socialist! Finally, I can help others and maintain the welfare of my fellow man!"

Or alternatively

"I'm going to become conservative so I can feel as if I can make more money and have control over my interests!"

Yeah I don't really understand how this makes any sense at all. I could, on the same token, suddenly convert to Catholicism and expect my life to get better, but that.... would not work. And just because it makes you feel that you have a chance doesn't mean it's actually giving you a chance.

I agree with Vorsprung, and would like to add that thinking about what's wrong with your generation and how much you would've liked to be born in an earlier generation won't change anything about your life. You'll just sit in limbo and you're life will be worse, and then it will be your fault; Not your generations.

I definitely see what you're saying, and I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but I've experienced this kind of thinking and it really just paralyzes you and puts you in limbo.

Libertarians are people who vote Libertarian. Libertarianism is not a religion, it is a political party. It is basically a cross between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party that does not suck. It is basically the best of both parties in one party.

The only way we can get rid of the pointless restrictions is complete revolution. No stupid ass libertarian party of pricks can fix jack shit. The world is fucked and it's fucked because we let it be fucked. Think about that while you got guys accepting it saying "it's the world deal with it". It's not the world and if you keep your views straight, keep a clear head, and mix in a bit of PMA you can help salvage what is left of the human race.

Bold views there my friend
