Only you. I don't have that problem
Because you dont have the problem, doesnt mean its only me. If you are the type of person "if its not happening to me, it doesnt exist" then you should slap yourself and think again about what you just said.

I don't choose for this to happen. Minecraft saves block regions and player inventories independently, and when the server crashes, there's no guarantees at all about the state of the save system. All of these reverts have been caused by unintentional crashes while saving -- not something I am doing on purpose.

Ignoring you from now on, be so kind and ignore this thread too. Go find some other thread to post in.

I understand that. But shouldnt next successfull save override this old inventory and update it to current one ? Or is the save invoked only on crashes ?

Aren't player inventories saved client-side? Or was that forever ago and it's been a server-side thing since before Beta?

I distinctly remember it being client-side at some point and time....

No, the inventories are stored server side. Evidence: admins of servers do not want people to hack their inventories.

Yesterday around 21:30 (thats where i live) a few players had that problem, including me. I was a few K from spawn, but when i logged in later on, I was suddenly in the Skylands with 100 gold nuggets and 12 diamonds. So inventories were indeed changed

I was trying to help. Lagging does cause lots of trouble ESP. When streaming.
If you were trying to help, you could have been constructive about it instead of being sarcastic; number_J is clearly stressed out so this isn't exactly a situation that calls for sarcasm.
Even if you were genuinely trying to help, it'd probably be nice to tone it down a bit so people don't think you're trolling instead.

Disconnecting from the server (not from a crash) causes the server to save your inventory. So if you collect a lot of resources, disconnect, and it will save your inventory.

At least this is what Woot said before.

I wasn't saying not to help. O.O
I was saying it's good to be constructive in situations like these, like perhaps some solutions or information you can provide to help explain where other people may be at a loss.
Rather than saying "Only you. I'm not having that problem", that is.
