1969 is the year before what computers consider the epoch, which is the start of their clocks. What's with 1969 and game engines? That's a bug of some sort, obviously, but every time I've seen a bug like this pop up it has without fail been the year 1969...
And we've had Computer Science since Ancient Greece!Figured as much, but it's ironic because we've had computers since 1823
I did say "Computer Science" which is just a subset of maths and which really underpins how modern computer work...Charles Babbage invented his Difference Engine in 1823, the first modern computer.
The Abacus and other ancient calculators do not count - the Difference Engine had a surprising number of elements in common with modern computers (like RAM), and could adapt and respond to variable data.
