1969 is the year before what computers consider the epoch, which is the start of their clocks.

The Abacus and other ancient calculators do not count - the Difference Engine had a surprising number of elements in common with modern computers (like RAM), and could adapt and respond to variable data.

I did say "Computer Science" which is just a subset of maths and which really underpins how modern computer work...
