Took me 6 or so hours today to fix my registry, add registry entries that randomly were missing, enable my firewall, allow permissions and what not all because of a malware I received a few days ago. Never downloading a texture pack ever again. I still like cake though.

It was The Win 7 AntiVirus malware where it pretends to scan your computer and says buy our product to get rid of it. I removed the malware within a few minutes, but apparently it did more damage than I thought and messed up my registry and disabled my firewall.
 
i dunno, had avast home edition on my pc for 2 years, did no major scans, surfed ALL the pr0n, still no malware :3

Go to malwarebytes.org and download the free version. If you still don't feel secure, buy Nod32. I use a combo of those with Microsoft essentials and I'm more secure than those people wasting 100$ a year on Norton garbage.
