Generally speaking, you have to mute your stereo mixer. if you have a software stereo mixer. You did mention that you were acquiring a 1222(?) mixer...
 
Yea I have a software stereo mix enabled in my recording devices. I'll disable it and see what happens.

I'm getting the mixer within the next month, so I won't have to fumble around with all this ghetto software patching stuff, but I just want a quick fix for now until I get it.
