I got to the last couple chapters, but then it got pushed to the side. Still haven't finished it. I know Thee Pro is big on it, Dutch Cheese might be, and my younger brother has read it about four times.

Indeed, there are quite a few of us who have read it and even read it multiple times. I'm currently reading all of the sidestories right now.

Novel? Yes. It is lengthy enough to surpass most modern novels put out by big name writers, it is also high enough quality of writing for it to be worth reading.
The original FoE actually made me cry at one point. That isn't easy to do.

When you do finish FoE go to FoE: PH (Project Horizons) which is an official sidestory that was approved by Kkat and written by Somber. PH is currently at least 3 times as long as the original and is almost done being written. By the time you get to the end of it, it should be finished.

i've heard more hate about FoE: PH than any other side story which has made me not want to read it and move on to different side stories is it really that good?

The first half is what makes people wary of it, as it takes a long time to really get going. But once you get into the final half, and more importantly, the homestretch of the story (Volume 4) you will love it.

And so far the only SS I'm not liking all that much is Broken Steel.
