Well, for that one, kiddies, we'll have to travel back in time to the days of /cprivate...
I started Team9000 on Classic. I made my way up to Builder, and then I got Beta. After hearing good things about the Beta server (and seeing a lot of threads by Hawke and TheXraptor) I got on the server.
Only to be killed by 7 creepers, on 7 seperate occaisions, in 5 minutes.
I was very disillusioned by the server, as I could see no trees to even get the most basic of materials. I was saddened...
A month or so later, I gave it another try. I stumbled my way through the floaters and abandoned spawn buildings to MotorKat's Treetop Farms, where I was graciously given a room. There, I chilled with such fine ilk as Pasaria and Ustulo. An especially cringe-worthy and lol-filled moment was when Pasaria claimed he was at Elm Creek (my map wasn't working), and tried to direct me to it. After half an hour or so, he told me that he had lead me on a wild goose chase for the lulz. After some beratement at my hands (fear the angry, n00by Vorsprung), he gave me a Diamond. "I'm rich! Waa!"
Then, MinerJuco and I went off south of spawn to a desert, and started to build a really big fort. We basically turned what was a medium-sized desert biome into a desert fort with a beautiful flowing river and garden inside of it. Pasaria helped too, later on in the game.
...Then the world got wiped. And I lost my 108 iron.
Then, when the new world opened, I bounded out of the gates, looking forward to the fresh new world. Pasaria led me to his new town, Candymountain. On the way, I spotted the elusive Minecraft-playing NewspaperCrane.
Then, he left for a bit, locking me inside his house / town.
I eventually escaped, and found my way back to spawn, where my buddy Kc006 told me about MinerJuco's new town, Robur. Eventually, after a long time procrastinating, and walking in circles, ZEROBIT4 showed me to the spawn tunnel and I finally got to Robur.
There, we messed around, building and having fun.
Then MinerJuco left, and Robur got deserted. I was the only one in the town for a very long time... When TheXraptor came to do his Cities of the Server on Robur, I was the only one there to show him round.
Really, there wasn't too much going on in Robur. Also, with the looming wipe, Beta became a little deserted. I kinda left.
I had a bit of a potter on the 1.8 Creative Test server... I haven't actually been on the 1.9 Test servers.
Now, I'm just lookin' forward to the new world in 2.1, or whatever, and building the WorldHub.
