New biome code in 1.1

<Vent>Just have to give a big shout-out to Jeb and gang on the new biome code update in 1.1. - thanks for royally f'ing it up. We already had a huge, frozen tundra to the north, now we have random chunks of snow popping up all throughout the world. Le sigh. Maybe they're fans of Game of Thrones and wanted to remind us that winter is coming?</Vent>

Yay more snow! My favorite Biome! Now they just need to make it feel more realistic when in the snow. Adding farming troubles, having to wear a coat or freeze your butt off. Then I would totally live in the snow biome.

Only thing that changed is that tundras are now snowy. That's not a fuckup, just a change. It's not like your house is now in the middle of an ocean chunk or something.

I know that it's not a glitch so far as the code is concerned (ala tundras) but it really makes for a derped looking map. You've now got random sprinklings of snow everywhere meeting up with other chunks at 90 degree angles. I wouldn't mind it so much if it weren't for the fact that the world/seed generator already provided enough snowy areas for those who prefer building in that type of environment.

Regardless if i like or doesnt the snow biome, this is plainly wrong. Picture speaks million words.
Random snow generation is random.

The map only regenerates a tile when it is changed by a player. It's possible the snow is actually more evenly spread, but only those "squares" have actually been built in since the upgrade.

I get that. I updated the chunks but it still remains too random and derpy :/
