New Petra

Ok, so my friend and I hatched up an idea. We both love Petra, and we hate looking at the wasted shell it's become. were gonna start up New Petra, and we need some residents/builders. What were hoping to do is to plug the myriad tunnels griefers have made and have 2 main entries. We will have the main gate, which will be guarded and the railway station. Due to the slight issue of the Meridia railway, we will plug it up. Griefers seem to hatch up in Meridia and we simply think that what remains of Meridia will be not be beneficial in any way. As you can see, we are upping security so that this whole idea will have such an inglorious ending as Old Petra. Since there doesn't seem to be any semblance of leadership left in Petra, we are unsure on who to consult. If you live in the remains of Petra, your home WILL NOT be destroyed. We will give you as much responsibility as you want. But the important part is where you guys come in. We currently have these jobs open, and they all have responsibilities.

1: SECURITY: your job is to think up ideas to keep griefers away, and employ them, whether it be a piston door with traps, or just a guard post.

2: SUPPLIES: Petra is of course located underground, so we need you to go up and scrounge up everything like food, Seeds, Pumpkins, Wood, that kind of stuff.

3: BUILDERS: There will be at least two builders who will work on new rooms and such.

4: CARETAKERS: You will need to have dedication and be able to be online often. You will be required to make sure New Petra stays shipshape. ie: fix things, plug leakages, all that.

But yeah, the name "Petra" was designed in the Biodome Party aftermath on the previous server, when Dutchy, Spaturno, and I (plus a couple of extras who weren't in the conversation, like the amazing drowning scooterboo) were planning, and we thought up the name Petra for a dwarven city.

Im happy to not call it Petra as I can see why you would want to keep a name like that. But I must wonder, are you gonna rebuild Petra after the wipe, Dutch? Cause if you plan on doing it I wouldn't want to take your idea and I could just tag along and help you build it provided you'd let me.

IF i'm going to do another petra like thingy. it will most likely be a district beneath the city.

and i'd love to see someone else building an underground city :3
