480p in the larger window size is actually about right for me, for some reason the framerate always has dropped slightly in 720 or 1080.

I am glad though that they made the larger player size button a separate thing again, not in the silly settings menu.

Yes, the comments were basically the cancer of the internet. They always were that way, as long as the site has existed. That's what happens when you get 10 year-olds with parents who can't be half-assed to regulate internet usage. But at the same time I was able to avoid these comments, and give compliments/suggestions or ask questions on technical videos. In fact that's the only reason I made an account; I haven't posted a single video myself.

Another thing I've been wondering about the new comment system, how does Google exactly know what comments and/or people I am interested in? And as far as I can see they seem to be people who take it upon themselves to fill the comment bit with a loop of spam, just because unlimited characters.
I actually enjoyed seeing different opinions from people that posted most recently, also you could always find the best/most relevant comment upvoted or just see a reply chain to it.... what was wrong with that? sure they turned out in-to religious or political debates on Hoon vids but still, that was YouTube, and I'm pretty sure everyone had long since accepted that.

From what I have seen, it is based on popularity from google+. People who post actually from google+ (I have only seen this happen 3 times) always get top post because Youtube goes "Yay people are actually using G+!"

I can deal with not commenting for a while. I don't want to taint my Youtube account with Google+, all I do is watch Youtubers and upload videos anyway.

I kinda miss going through video game OST videos (Sonic Adventure 2, for example), and reading the Top Comments of each video, they were always so funny! Now I can't find them anymore since this update.

ALSO, I hate having to click THREE times in order to change the quality in a video.

I can't even open a video in a new tab anymore because Google decided to implement right-click in Youtube video frames.
EDIT: I can at least open videos in a new tab if I scroll down and find the video on the sidebar.

Remember when a YouTube video would buffer even when it was paused? Those were the days.
When it gets unbearable, I download the mp4 file directly. It streams at ~100 kb/s, and downloads at ~2 mb/s. It's the slow speeds that make me really hate long video tutorials: I skip past the inevitable (and almost always pointless) intro, try to find the part that I want, but buffering is so slow that I have to sit there and wait.
