I'm not too sure. The more important question is this: when will we have a stable server, where we won't have to worry about wipes?

There's not too much point making anything too permanent if it's just going to be wiped.

I'm not even sure if 1.9 will even come out. Considering we are very close to the intended release date (18th November), Mojang might consider skipping 1.9 and going straight to 2.0.

But in terms of survival or creative, I don't mind. Creative would need some potent anti-grief measures, otherwise we would be screwed.
