Paradise Island-Survival Shared Map

My friend was joking about some fun he and my other friend were having sharing a singleplayer world, exchanging the files with eachother, and building together, and so I thought it might be fun to do this, with all of you! Simply download the map, and (legitimately please) build something, or go on adventures. Similar to a multiplayer world, but only one person is allowed to play at a time.
Explanation over, time to start!

Welcome to Paradise Island, an archipelago of swamp-islands right next to the ocean! The land is rich, our resources great, and the island is beautiful. Don't call hax about the island, look at those farms I built into the ocean to see where all those pumpkins and melons come from (yes, this is the map that I built the massive melon farm on, the one mentioned in a few threads).

RULES:
Don't take other peoples' stuff, and try not to let anything hurt the island, it is our home. I crafted melon blocks and placed them all over the island, please don't eat these. You are free to take anything you wish from my "farming supplies" chest in the little brick house, but please leave at least one of everything that is in there, and don't touch the pumpkin seeds. It is recommended that you build your own house, and keep your stuff in there. Feel free to look inside other peoples' chests, but don't take.

After you are finished, upload the file to anywhere so the next person can download it,

You will spawn on top of the mine, feel free to use that mine as much as you want. The first download will come with your inventory with some stuff I collected for you to use, a sword, some food, and some basic supplies to start the first person off on their home. If you want to listen to music, there is a jukebox and a green disc in the mine.

As a final note, if you open up my farming chest, and see that there are actual tall grass blocks in there, don't accuse me of hacking, you can now harvest grasses with shears :D

Ok, so I get the general idea: multiplayer on singleplayer - one shared map. But how do we put the many variations we make together? Or do we do it one at a time?

Great idea though.

EDIT: Whoah. That is one big mine. The melon farm is impressive. And there are so many torches. Our building styles are totally different, and I cant wait to see what other people put into this. Also how long did it take you to build this? Could we do this on a schedule? Perhaps have more than one map circulating? What do you think?

All right, I'm fairly new to this, if I don't share my map, can I basically do anything I want with this world?

That mine took me three hours! Feel free to take any of the cobble from the chests on the top floor. The whole thing probably took a little more than ten hours, maybe more like fifteen. The way we put it together is after you build whatever you want, or at least part of something, repost a download link to the map on this here thread.

If you decide to build something, feel free to repost so others can see, or just keep the world and do whatever. It's a single-person at a time multiplayer world, you are free to do what you want.

Excited to see what you guys build!
Another note, please re-till the ground if you harvest melons or pumpkins so they can re-grow.

Can we do some stuff with toomanyitems mod?

It's not a server, so really if he could find out, he couldn't ban you for it because it's a shared map, and you could just not share it

If you find some items in Inv. log out of Minecraft get rid of the 1st island file and put in a new one srry i deleted all the items by ac.

^^^ This would be a good idea.

Anyways, I'm working on a few farms, such as a simple sugarcane farm, a tree farm, and an automated mushroom farm.

I'm fine if you spawn a couple items, like stone pickaxes, but the point is to be as legit as possible. If a creeper explodes and blows up ANOTHER PERSON'S house, then you can use mods to repair it.

Why not just make a server?
The point is to have it only with one person at a time, resharing (almost like backups!), with the anticipation to see what other people do with what is on the world. Plus, you don't have to worry about about griefers or internet loss, only for downloading.

Excited to see those! After the world gets reposted, I am planning on building something called "Resource Island," a place that will be covered in trees, shrooms, sugar, cacti, the whole works.

@Ustolo I have it, pyro has it, squirrely has it, and mario has it. Thats not one person. So which map will we use? If you want one map to go around, make a schedule.
