Perhaps block history in beta?

FIrst of all, this is never going to happen. So I don't know why you guys are planning it all out. Woot has already said that there will be no ranks in beta.

Even still, it is time for reconsidering. We don't need that whole system, like in classic, but I think it would be well worth it to have a form of player moderation.

Besides, Everyone should know that this is not going to be a permanent world, it is a Beta for a Beta, I wouldn't be building anything I really care about.

Griefing should be dealt with by a kick, followed by a ban. In my oppioion, there should be an admin on at least 1/4 of the time on a lesser used server. By lesser used, I mean less than 200 people.

There will be a server list, showing all the servers, so we will be out in the open for everyone to see. Also, the full release of a game brings along more advertising, so more people will have it, meaning more griefers.

But the admins are busy, and we can suffer too much before any action is taken, so player moderation would offer a simple cure for that.

There is ALWAYS a way to get the attention of an admin. Adding another rank to Beta is a terrible idea. We have tried the idea of a government system in beta and people just become power hungry, like Josh said.

Adding a system like this is just another way for users to gain power, the most effective way is to keep it the way it is. Now I will admit that when I had my time on beta, the owners were scarcely on, but when they were, they got shit done.

I don't want the position for power, it just feels good to accomplish things. That's why I have multiple ranked accounts. I don't really want to be able to have the commands, I just want the status.

Adding a system like this is just another way for users to gain power, the most effective way is to keep it the way it is. Now I will admit that when I had my time on beta, the owners were scarcely on, but when they were, they got shit done.

We do not need to spawn items. No easily abused feature like that.
A limited ability way to simply add a bit of moderation would be a great help.

Especially with the upcoming server lists, and the full release of Minecraft... we're in for a storm, and just the admins cannot deal with that, we are all just humans.

Also, just wondering, who were you having in mind?

I would rather not say. It isn't up to me and I am not referring to myself since I have caused trouble and don't get along with some. I could see some controversy with who gets modded and what not. Plus most people on the forums have problems with at least one other person. Either way kick and mute privileges seem pretty low risk to me.
