I think it's supposed to be 18112011, but I'm not too sure.
Originally, it was going to be 11112011, but clearly not.
(I'm using military time so I don't confuse you Americans who get the dates around the wrong way, and to please Casey.)

Which way do Canadians write the date, though?Well for one thing, I can read both military and non military, and also I'm not American. I rock the northern part of that continent.
For example, I write the 13th of the 11th 2011 as 13-11-2011, whereas Americans (and Japan, among other countries) write 11-13-2011.

We write it multiple ways. On government forms, job appilcations and other things like that, it's MM/DD/YYYY such as 02/26/1994. At school and when we are taking notes, or on cover letters, it's Feburary or Feb. 26th, 2011. There's also the DD/MM/YYYY format which is 26/02/1994 but that's rarely used.

It doesn't matter for my birthday though, for example. 12/12/1992 is pretty universal if you ask me.
Regarding the minecraft release, I've also heard it's coming on the 18th. Sounds pretty fun, but I wonder what the future after beta brings.

Quite the contrary. Having so much hard evidence supports the belief that Minecraft 1.0 will be released as scheduled. One puts faith in the Mojang team, especially since Jeb keeps restating this like it's a goal. There's a sort of psychological reinforcement at play here.
Then again, it does make all the more dramatic if it turns out that they will release it late.
