Problem WIth Minecraft for Mac

If anyone is playing minecraft on a mac, I need some help!

Just this afternoon, I went to play minecraft, and as soon as I opened the game, my entire computer crashed. This has never happened before. All other programs run fine except for my WoM client. I think it has to be something to do with my minecraft.jar file or this is just some freak coincidence. I tried force updating my minecraft client but it didn't help.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know! I want to get back on the server!

I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but the same time this afternoon, my battery crapped out. The computer refuses to run off of it even though it is fully charged. I have failed to see any connection between the two problems I am having, so let me know if you have any ideas!

Thanks,

Umm, how old is it?

haha. This was built from various parts of many different macbook pro's. Intel Core 2 Duo. 2 GB memory. ATI Radeon x1600. None of the parts are more than a year or 2 old. Most i assume are more recent but I have no way of knowing. The battery was very recently replaced with a new one, so I am very surprised it is having trouble.

They may be recent but that is simply a shitbook, not a macbook. Probably crashed from minecraft being to intensive on your mac. Either try getting better hardware or try and work with it.

Except that is totally false. This computer has run minecraft, tf2, killing floor, halo, you name it for many months and it has had no trouble. This is a recent problem, clearly not something wrong with the power of my computer.

I, too, have a Macbook pro, and while i was first setting up minecraft I had some problems with it. Once I figured it out, though, I never had another problem. Try running a virtual machine if all else fails.

When I experience issues like this, I usually just delete my bin folder.

Also, you say you are using a laptop of some kind, and that you thought that it may have something to do with you battery. If so, I have experienced the exact same issue. Back when I played runescape a ton, all of a sudden when trying to play on tr battery, my entire computer will crash. This is caused by some sort of battery issue.

If this only happens when you are running on your battery, you'll have to replace it. After I did that, everything went back to normal.
