Server down?

Why Is the server down?, because of maintenance? If so, for how long will it be down?

Hmm i just logged in after using mcpatcher checking out the texture pack i froze on the Logging in screen and then end of stream , Doubt it but maybe my client had a reason of doing something to it? So yea, If it wasn't that anyone know an ETA?

it is at least not in 1-5 min its probebly more mayby 10-20 min the only thing thats do me feel like bad is if you lose everything you have

Why would you lose everything you got? Doesn't make sense, well I was more curious if it was for 1 hours or like 5 hours +, would have been nice with a 5 min server warning before it went down :)

it have heppend befor you see this is a exemple like 15 iamonds and only get 4 and when you look whereyou mined the diamonds so are they gone

and it mayby was so the computer died

I see, since Im new to the server I don't know anything about the maintenance routin. How often does the server go offline? weekly or less? And what is the usual down time?

Very rarely, less, and usually no longer than five minutes. My guess is it's not a maintenance period, but a server crash; unless someone else with better info can say otherwise.

When I opened up minecraft, it said there was an update, apparently, they added jungle biomes, fixed the zombie AI, made vines climbable, and put collision back on ladders, you can also now breed wolves :D This may be the reason why the server's down.

not likely, as bukkit still hasn't released a 1.1 recommended build.

Don't update yet unless Wooty says otherwise.

Or else, you'll be looking around for a 1.1 minecraft.jar
