Should I get FRAPS?

Fraps works fine for me, though I never tried any other software. If you don't feel like paying for it (and who does), it's really easy to copy off the web, yarr.

Even when I have the thing running and only one key for the hotkey, it still doesn't record. It doesn't give me error messages, either. It just does nothing.

I doubt I'll ever get this thing to work.

Strange. Not sure what to suggest. Oh well, I guess you'll have to try some other software.

Maybe I should try a program other than Minecraft...

I may have heard something about Predator not working with 64 bit systems. That might be a bit of a problem, considering that I'm running Windows 7 x64.

Although, even if it did work in another program, it wouldn't matter that much to me. After all, the whole purpose of me getting this was mainly to start a Minecraft Let's Play.

EDIT: Wait a second, Linux!

It's possible to natively run Minecraft on Linux, and I bet there's some free video capture software for Linux out there somewhere.

I just discovered Microsoft Expression Encoder. I'm limited to 10 minute sessions in the free version, but it might work!

I now bring closure to this thread: I'm using Microsoft Expression Encoder, and though it's limited to ten minute clips, it works fine. I'll be starting up my Let's Play series tomorrow, with the first video up by about 2:00 or 3:00 PM EDT. I'll probably embed all of the episodes into blogs.
