Should I Get Tapatalk?

The title of this thread pretty much explains it. Is Tapatalk worth the $2.99? More importantly, is Team9000 on it? Also, what about the various in-app purchases?

Well, when I come here from my iPod a little notification pops up saying this forum has an app referring to tapatalk, so I assume it has t9k, but I haven't gotten so I don't know for sure.

Oh yeah, I remember getting that. I also seem to remember woot talking about how t9k was switching support from some other forum app to Tapatalk. I guess I'll give it a shot.

What even is the point of Tapatalk?

On my android phone I just open the internet browser, go to team9000.net and post on the forums normally. Why pay $3 for something you don't need?
Just to clear things up, I just bought it.
Anyways, one of the advantages over safari is the user interface. Team9000 doesn't have a mobile page. Sometimes, the header picture completely blocks the comment box. It's also designed for desktops, not mobile devices, and rightfully so. Tapatalk just has a much better user interface for mobiles.

I see, so it is just for ease of access, rather than being more beneficial.
And I personally have never had the header cover the comment box on my phone.

Yeah, it's a lot more convenient and efficient. I can do pretty much everything from one app in less time. For example, refreshing the forum. In safari, depending on the wifi connection, it can take a long time to reload a bunch of stuff you don't actually need. One thing I've also noticed is that switching between notifications, conversations, and forums opens a lot of tabs rather quickly.
