I have recently bought a turtle beach x12 headset, and I cant get it to work on my computer. I have plugged everything into the right position, but it still won't work. Can anyone help?

Try on a different computer. If it works your sound card might be messed up (given it isn't a usb headset). It shouldn't need drivers if it is plugged directly into the mic and headphone jacks. If it won't work on another computer it might be broken.

Ok, so it is connected. Now the problem is the mic is WAY too loud.

have you tried adjusting its settings in the control panel>sound and recording devices area? then set it up in mumble?
