Following a court mandated turn over of GeoHot's hard drives, and various other computer devices for inspection, key components were found missing and were presumably removed by GeoHot before the turn over. Obviously wanting answers - and the missing components returned - GeoHot's lawyers inform the court that he has taken a vacation (fled?) in South America.

It's a movie in the making folks.

I think the story has folded out a bit more and the "key components" were just the harddrive controller set up, which is not really key, though they did give them that.
