Sorry to vent

but is it just me or is the freaking survival server down ALL THE TIME??? You know, I work all the time but other than that I pretty much have no life and when I get home I just want to crack open a cold one and mindlessly play this game until I absolutely have to go to bed. Pretty much the story of everyone else right? Well I don't play on any other servers... And honestly single player isnt' any fun because I am a big fat cheater and learned about invedit and be damned if it didn't zap the fun right out of it. Anyway since the server has been down so much, I tried other servers. Most well knows IP lists that are on google NONE OF THEM WORK... I was browsing youtube videos when I found a server called sincraft. I tried it and right off the bat there is this ten-minute tutorial/obstacle course that was obviously written by a 5th grader that doesn't really explain anything I need to do or how to do anything. hell I can't even talk in the chat to ask anyone anything...

So I find myself endlessly trying to log in to the mc.team9000.net server instead. This is how I have been spending my free time lately (I know sad huh). Am I the only one having this problem? I work in IT/networking and I am not computer illiterate so I know it isn't my PC.

You guys really have me by the balls here

Hmm I'm not really an expert but ive experienced similar to this issue with other servers and even my own. The problem tends to be over at Minecraft.net and not having access to the authentication server to log into minecraft.

Generaly if I fail to connect more then 5 times in a row i relog into my minecraft client and it works.

Also are you using any mods that might be causing problems? I know mods that mess with the way you can move (ie: Flying, walk through walls, etc) tend to leave me unable to connect... I know mods that work perfectly well with SMP are Zans minimap, Longer legs, spawnerGUI ( doesn't interfere with logging in but doesnt seem to make anything spawn for anyone except the person who changed whats spawning.), Sound Mod Enabler, and GuiAPI.

No I don't use any mods at all. I thought if we did we would get banned?

Anyways I was just drunk and aggravated the other night. The team9000 survival server wasn't working, but the other server I mentioned was... And this other server was just terrible. NPC's everywhere, people constantly chatting so fast no one would answer any of my questions, giant gaping pits everywhere (much more common than they happen on team9000...

Most the time I am able to ping the server and connect to it, it just won't log me in. It has been better lately though.

Hmmm well i know yesterday i was having issues with MC connecting aswell, It could have just been bad luck.

lol I do the same thing "oh oh its connecting!!! .... ah shiz failed to connect" then I try again and again and come to check on the website if it is down which it always is when i cant connect lol, my house was like 3 days away from spawn so i made a new house near spawn and now when I log in I always find someone in my house looking in my chests haha, and does it restart so much cuz of the pigmen in the nether? cuz someone always punches them and they turn aggresive and it seems whenever the servers down and it comes back they r friendly again, well I hope it comes back online soon ^__^
