Okay, we don't have one of these so I thought it was a good idea to make one.
I'll set down some ground rules because I fucking can:
#1: No raffling for profit. This means no buy-ins, or anything like that.
#2: You gotta deliver. It's pretty annoying to offer up something and then retract your promise as soon as someone comes to collect. You'll be shamed and teased if you don't cough up the goods.
#3: Set a realistic entry limit and timeline. Holding a raffle for only three people, or for 1,000 people, is a bit ridiculous. 25 is a good number. Use something like http://www.random.org/ to determine a winner, and be clear about your deadlines. 24-48 hours is a good yardstick. Just be fair, eh?
#4: Don't be a penis. Don't be rude to whoever you're giving a gift to, and if you're receiving something, be nice. Don't just greet someone with a trade. Have a conversation.
#5: Be a nice person; don't hate or discriminate.
#6: T9K rules are paramount.
#7: I'll probably change these rules into the future so just be good kids okay daddy loves you.
Okay, I'm going to start proceedings by raffling away this Electric Escorter. It's a hat; everyone wants hats.
