Hey-ho, T9K, how's the sugar. It's Vorsprung again, with Round 2 of my fabulously sexy TF2 comp!
Love him or hate him (likely hate him), Vanilla Ice is a surprisingly successful musician, considering all he did was sample a song and then put stupid lyrics over the top. And yet we remember him. Of course, nowadays he's all washed up. He's got a dinky reality TV show, or something, and still thinks he's a kid.

But he's ruined the word 'vanilla' for me! When I think 'vanilla', I think ice-cream, flowers, and a '90's-ish homeboy who can't krunk fo' shit.

So, let's reclaim vanilla!

If you haven't already guessed yet, this round of the comp will be themed. I'll make each episode themed. This one will be vanilla.

It's vanilla weapons night.

This will make things interesting. It's often said that the most pro players in TF2 are the ones who can do well with only the stock weapons. In fact, many successful players choose to use only stock weapons. So, this round will be a test of your fortitude. You can't hide behind overpowered weapons this time, boys and girls. I'm limiting what weapons can be used. (This round will also be good for you free-to-players. It will give you a level playing field.

1: The server this round will be played on is "NK32" <ip pending>.
2: Participants must change their Steam nickname to "[T9K]<yourname>", e.g. [T9K]Vorsprung.
3: Participants need to register their name here. If you're in, comment on this blog saying "I'm in", or something similar.
4: I may or may not deduct points from the leaderboard if a player does not firstly register here before playing.
5: Pass-outs and late entrances are allowed, but it's in your best interest to play for longer.
6: The winner will be decided at the end of the tournament. Be patient.
7: Players will be immediately kicked from the server if:
> They do not change their name (see Rule #2).
> They are not known on T9K.
> If they use any other weapons other than the ones specified.
> If they behave innapropriately. See the forum rules.
> They are using hax or cheats of any description. That means no scripts.
> They kill me. (I'm jokin'.)
8: Other than that, just be decent. You know, just be nice, and don't give anyone any cause for grief.
More may / may not be added to the rules in due process.

As for prizes, well, I'm still sorting that out with Woot. But not to worry! I've still got at least one good prize to give (that "$130 worth of gear" I talked about last time).

The game will start at 7:00pm Saturday night (the 17th), New York time (UTC-5). The time can be subject to debate.

Got all that? Good. Dis-missed!

@Bob - Bitch please, the 1st round of this comp was up last week. If anything, it's the other way round.

@Vorsprung Because Fridays I always have something to do all day: piano, tkd, parties, tutor

@Jok3r - not this time buddy. Just stock weapons and their reskins.

@Bob - don't even start it, I had my first round one up on Thursday, and anyway, this one has prizes.

@David - can you suggest a better time then? :p

@Jok3r - you can't use Jarate, it's not on the list. Only Stock weapons. Stock weapons are the weapons you start with - Huntsman and Jarate are both Unlocked or Craft weapons.

@David - put that in GMT +10 and I'll think about it. ;)

I chose the time that I did because it suits me. Barely.
