Team9000 Radio Suggestion

No, he knows who the artist is and makes sure it is creative-commons. MLP music is a little different in the fact that Hasbro almost encourages people to use its music and art. They are fully behind it and that makes creating music and art from it much simpler. For the most part though, it is up to the artist, and most of them post is under something similar. How Woot himself snagged all that music, I don't know for sure, but I would assume he got it after checking the source of everything, as he is quite stubborn about doing things by the book (hence the 13 and over only in Team9000). I would ask him though, or maybe we will get lucky and he will reply to this thread, who knows :)

I would be happy to contribute to the Radio, as I have just about 1,400 songs (granted, about 20 are MIDIs). Problem is, about 95% of those songs are probably copyright-protected or whatever and I'm a pirate and a pirate is free.
should i have said that out loud?

...In other news, here's a thought: how about featuring T9k artists on the radio? We've got plenty of people who make music and post it on T9k - Don, Azn, Jetmike - the list goes on.

It kills two birds with one stone.
Musicians here don't piss off Jerzey by making blogs, they get their music featured, people who aren't bronies get something out of it, and it just contributes to community spirit.

I'd say that most of the people who make music here on T9k would be happy to have their music presented in such a way. No copyright law shit kebabs to mess about with.

Heck, if it's a problem, I'll make music for the radio. I can play guitar.

I like the idea of original T9K exclusive music, made by the community, for the community.

There basically needs to be a hole where people throw their music into and the people who want to listen to those songs jump in. Those who don't simply walk around it. Right now, everyone is throwing their songs all over the place and frankly, its a bit of an eyesore. I know that theres a soundcloud thread, but I don't think any of the music makers are willing to stop clogging the front page blogs display area and to post in a more obscure area instead.

No offense to any music makers on team9000... but a radio station with just their stuff would be terribad.
True, given that the majority of musicians here specialise in the one genre, and there's only a few of said musicians.
But I'm just trying to give people an idea / concept that doesn't involve me bashing bronies.

We could always supplement the T9k music with other stuff. It's not like Hasbro is the only company / bukkake parlour that "encourages people to use their material".
Heh.
Casey.
Funny.

Vorsprung is a genital. Er.. Genius. Either way, I make music as well, and think this is a wonderful Idea, we could have a T9k public radio station, and anyone who wants their music on it can just ask for it to be put on. :D It's Wonderful.
