The 2045 Initiative

Question is: would you even want immortality? Sure, it sounds great at first. But give it a century or two and your mindset would drastically change. The brain isn't designed to live indefinitely. It has flaws and limitations.
Agreed

Also, dont double post, the edit button is there to help you
EDIT: Yea, I have thought bout that, but that digital storage may decay over time, then leading to a "death" of sorts. But I would not be a fan of immortality that much it does get boring
Who was that directed to?

Pretty sure this thread is derailed now, and I thought it would go places...
It did, obviously... You said it's derailed, the definition of 'derailed' is:

Derailed - past tense participle or word of 'derail'
-Verb
1. Cause (a train or trolley car) to leave its tracks accidentally.
2. (of a train or trolley car) Accidentally leave the tracks.

In other words, it's on the tracks, into another set of tracks, it's gone somewhere

Meh, I doubt it will get any better, now, lets get back to discussion of the 2045 Project! Thoughts about the Brain Computer Interface? (BCI)
This is a video sort of like the effects of the 2045 Project
Why does embedding hate me

Regardless, if I'm going to be in an immortal robot body, I'd like it to be a spaceship of some kind. I would not be staying on Earth.
I guess that would be cool... Or maybe R2D2, that'd be cool... Or maybe a Military robot... Not sure... Maybe Mindstorms? :p

So you think being able to control a robot with oyur mind is idiotic? Its one step closer to developing sorts of telekinesis

Here's the thing: while we may be able to implant the brain into a life-support system and connect to electronic things, my personal opinion is that we will never be able to truly shift one's consciousness into a computer. Sure, a replica might be able to be made, but it will be just that -- a replica. In other words, you would effectively be making a copy of yourself. However, a lift support system for the brain could potentially happen, but I doubt it will in the given time frame.

What if you replaced each biological neuron with a synthetic neuron, one-by-one?

Ah, that would be pretty cool... Just no sex... That pretty much ruins the whole movie... :D I think it'd be a good movie, put some FOX special effects in there and it'd be pretty cool... Okay, I ain't seen any o' the Terminator movies, but I played the arcade game to Terminator: Salvation, maybe somethin like 'at would be cool, with robots tryin to take over, and we gotta use cool guns to take 'em down! That'd be a cool movie right there... With some drama in it, like, they invent the robots, program 'em to defend us from bad guys and maybe even eliminate 'em, but the robots later (like, in fie years or somethin like that...) that in order to protect the people who made 'em, they have to eliminate everyone by killin 'em, and a group of young veterans decide to defend everyone against the creators of the robots who've gone insane and have been driven evil by their insanity... I don't know, might be a good movie, might not be... :p
I-Robot?

Kinda... If I'm thinkin what you're thinkin, which is the movie I, Robot, kinda... And I ain't watched it either, just looked at it n Netflix again... :p I'm thinkin bout a movie with Harrison Ford jack, he's my favorite actor, mostly because he was in Star Wars and Indiana Jones, my two favorite movie series, so, yeah... Anyway! I was thinkin more of an X-Men sentinel story sorta, with things like the sentinels, but human-sized, that were invented by a scientist, that became insane and were driven mad by their insanity, yah da yah da yah da yah da, and pretty much there's a group o' young veterans that stand up against the robots and fight back, and they win, but in the end credits part there's a scene that has like, a head of one of the dead robots, and the eyes slowly activate, then the camera zooms out, and a bunch of eye lights start to turn on, that's the movie I'm lookin for... Yeah, my mind bursts forth like this sometimes... Yeah, it's a blessing and a curse... :p :D

Wait a minute, I don't want to be augmented like Adam Jensen... whose initials are probably A.J. He therefore shall be referred to as AJ.

Not quite sure who 'Adam Jensen' is... Google search time I reckon (I'm not doin this, cause I'm afraid that if I don't, people will tell me to utilize google search...)...

Results: Okay, he looks really creepy and weird... @_o Is he a scientistic experiment?

He's is basically robocop. In the distant future.

Lost his arms and legs in a tragic incident when terrorists messed up his workplace and kidnapped his girlfriend. His employer (being the generous corporate fatcat that he is) gave him superpowers to fight crime and save the day. (or not because he is player-controlled)

Interesting... Sounds pretty cool to me, how is it on language? And the rating said it had partial-nudity, so not sure if that's bad or not... And is there any blood and/or gore? I don't do well with blood/gore... It grosses me out a pretty good amount unless it's animal guts, in that case, I'm all for it! :D Anything else that'd gross me out in it?
