The only thing bad about Sennheiser is that they are a bit minimalist in terms of design. I mean, that's not a big deal, but it's a consideration. In the end, it's the sound that counts.

But in all seriousness, Skullcandies are crap. I mean, at least Beats have a redeeming factor in that they sound O.K. and are very comfortable. Skullcandies are awful to wear, are very overpriced, and sound like a toilet flushing.

I also think Skullcandies look bad anyway. They are truly shit.

Here's a protip: go for some Audio-Technica's, Sennheisers, Sonys or AKGs. They are good-sounding, well-priced and highly available brands of 'phones you'll be able to find just about anywhere.

I have a pair of These as well as the predecessor to these And would recommend either over beats. The bose for music are absolutely amazing, and the SS for gaming are fantastic.

Edit: Those are the uses I use those for, and hence my recommendation over beats for anything.
