Too many players

I find the name of Haven to be pretty fitting now, considering it is a safe HAVEN where most veterans live.

Haven and Sanctum.. Names fit, no?
Only one that was a bit 'less safe' sounding was Deathly Hallows.. But, it was also pretty safe :)

That is absolutely ridiculous, not to mention unfair.
I fail to see how either adjective applies in this situation. A player's reputation affects their playing on other servers. If one server they played on is full of troll admins, and they get banned for no reason (or for a reason such as "you don't like cheese? shame on you!"), their future hosts may treat them with mistrust because of the ban. However, they can appeal that ban, and if the ban is deemed unfair, they are removed from MCBans' list (not the server's ban list) and the server's reputation drops. When a server's rep drops too low, their future bans no longer enter the MCBans system.

Seems perfectly logical and fair to me.

The only problem with this system is:
> Join troll server
> Get banned
> Don't know there is MCBans on troll server
> Doesn't know MCBans bans can be appealed

> 'x has previous bans!'

batteofomega4 and Shananafloats are two that I could find, /resident shows both joining in the first half of December 2011, and I don't know of either causing any problems - I know batteofomega4 was trying to be helpful to newbies, allowing them to join his town, and Shananafloats is a member of the town I'm in. Some people say they've been banned on other servers for no reason, and it does make sense - there are plenty of users out there who are trolls, why not admins who are trolls?
thanks just so everyone knows my lil bro has been messing around and got me kicked off tons of servers well thanks for posting that i like the new players to fit in and thats y i let new players in to town :)

-_-

LOGICAL next steps:
>Ask how the server knows
>Receive reply along the lines of "MCBans"
>Google
>Appeal
>Problem solved.

I had to log off because of the lag. I don't know if it is the player count, someone mining and not picking up after themselves, a crazy redstone contraption, or what. I'd prefer to blame newbies (mostly because they annoy me :p).

It seems to me like the server definitely gets laggy when there are more people on it, but it doesn't seem too bad.

I gave up on survival, the constant influx of new players has made be feel unwanted and the attitude I've received from some of the is distasteful. What's the point of playing if most of the old folks who I partially know hardly go on any more and are replaced by trolls who give you shit talk because you occasionally come on and then you are harassed being called a noob and other such language.

A few months ago someone told me to "Fuck off, nobody cares, new kid' just because I corrected him in-game. I honestly have no incentive to go on survival any more, this is getting ridiculous.

There's always the /ignore command skryter. =)
While the people you know may have moved on to other things, have you tried joining up with some of the other veterans still around?

Also don't like the ignore command, don't want to keep on ignoring people every time I log in.

There's not too many of those people really. In fact, with the rate at which people get bored with the server, you might see very different faces once again if you come on :)
