Top 10 favourite Games... OF ALL TIME.

Ok, time to list the best games I've ever played.

5. Theme Hospital
Theme_Hospital.front_cover.jpg

The nostalgic game of my choice, Theme Hospital was one of the first games I've ever played (Or watched playing I guess...) It was (And is still) my sister's favorite game, she played it a lot, and me, Little Crog, watched her play it everytime. The intro was the scariest thing ever for me those times, and the BSoD fear I had those days (Our PC had Windows 98...) made it both scary and fun for me. I think that combination was the thing that made it so special. I recently downloaded it for my sister, and I was back to watching her play it all day long...

4. Pokémon Platinum Version
Pokemon_Platinum.png

If there's one thing I learned from Pokemon, it's that the first Pokemon game you played will always be the best. That feeling you have when you catch your first Pokemon, that feeling when you defeated the first Gym Leader... And that one, the feeling you have when you finally defeat the Champion and finish the game. After playing White, I now know why RBY fanboys exist, because their first Pokemon game was Red, Blue or Yellow. I don't hate them anymore. Also, Platinum had Turtwigs. FUCKING TURTWIGS!!! That's one of the things that make it even more awesome.

3. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
SSBB_Cover.jpg

The most EPIC game I've ever played, with it's awesome music, character selection, and gameplay, SSBB takes the third spot on my list. The trophies and the difficulties made you play the game even after playing every mode, and you could still have fun, because of all the different characters. You can try smashing through everything with Bowser, reduce all you touch into rubble with Meta Knight, or just troll by Falcon Punching everything. SSE made it even more better, and seeing pretty much every Nintendo character (+2) combining their forces to defeat one final threat was just amazing. Because of all these things and its shitload of unlockable things, Brawl is the best Wii game I've played.

2. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky
Pokemon-Mystery-Dungeon-Sky.jpg

That game... The best Pokemon game ever, Explorers of Sky (or it's counterparts, Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness) has everything you can ask for in a game. Awesome gameplay, an EPIC story (Only the next game on the list has a better story), characters that you WILL connect to (Special Episodes make that even more, I CRIED on the second one, Wigglytuff, you're just awesome), the unpredictability and the plot twists, awesome music (The clear best of any Pokemon game), and the fact that you can play as a Turtwig makes it just AWESOME, and it's a MUST for every Pokemon fan. And, in the end, onion-cutting ninjas will surely visit your house, and no, that's not the end! After finishing the game, there's still more story on the game! You will continue playing, until you finish the second half of the story, where all the secrets will be revealed. And after that, there's still getting Guildmaster rank and recruiting Legendaries! But that doesn't matter, it has the best story of any Pokemon game, and all those things combine to make it the second best game I've ever played.

And now, for the final one and the best game I've ever played...

1. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty
StarCraft_II_-_Box_Art.jpg

Don't tell me you didn't saw that coming. Every person that played Starcraft II will know that it's just one of the best games ever made. Take everything from above games, make them better, put them on space and make it a RTS, and you'll get yourself a Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty. I don't have to say anything, just look at the others on this post. This game has EVERYTHING you'll ever want on a video game, and the impact it will do on you will be never able to be forgotten. This is the game that made me a gamer; all other games I played before was either movie games or old ones. This game was the first time I cried in a video game, I even restarted my WHOLE PROGRESS because of a wrong choice. And after finishing it, you can't do anything but blame Blizzard for not releasing Heart of the Swarm yet. It ends in a place that will make you DIE to see what will happen next. Because of all those reasons, it's the best game I've ever played, and a game that I'll never forget. Blizzard, just release HotS already!

The second best single-player game I've ever played. The storyline and graphics of this game are so good, the game literally feels like an interactive movie rather than a game. I loved every minute of it.
smb.jpg

Storyline, challenge, plenty of unlockables, graphics, everything you need in a game. Seriously, if you've never played this, buy it now. It is more than worth it.

I did play Zoo tycoon. My sister and I remarks how the lions breed stupidly fast at breakneck speeds and the promiscuity of lions and jazz music.

I can't think of my top ten games but I'll list my favourite game instead.

X-COM_-_UFO_Defense_Coverart.png

X-COM is the king of strategy games, my early childhood revolved around this game and the older nintendo and original atari consoles. The premise was that you were the commander of a group called X-COM which was initiated to defend the planet from an extraterrestrial attack. There was a deep layer of strategy in the game which you rarely see in today's games due to difficulty standards lowering. The game was set on a turn based system which is a dying concept outside of games like pokemon. If you think games released nowadays are difficult play this game and then try and complain.

Now, I've never been great with words so please don't mind any grammatical errors and such, but here's my list in no order

Shadow of the Colossus.
shadow-of-the-colossus-pic2.jpg

What can I say? If you've played this game, you know why it is amazing. It is such a unique experience that I have yet to see again in gaming today. Intuitive controls, amazing Colossus design and challenging gameplay make this game one I will never forget.

Team Fortress 2
TF2_Group.jpeg

Ahh... TF2, my love affair of the last 8 months. You don't need to know me well to know I love this game. Valve really struck a gold mine with this sequel to the popular Half Life 1 Mod. With intuitive and balanced gameplay, a soft on the eyes and fun art style, and loads of customization options, this is probably my favorite FPS to date. Not to mention, you can really strike it rich in the trading world...

Fallout 3/New Vegas
fallout3_3_lg.jpg
Ranger_at_New_Vegas_entrance.jpg

Whether you are saving the Mojave from Legion imperalism, fighting back a horde of Super Mutants or getting wasted with Dukov, this duo of games has been a favorite of mine for years. I played the older Fallouts, and I have to say that these are worthy sequals to them and to each other. While Fallout 3 is the true Post Apocolyptia we all love, with destroyed monuments and irradiated caverns, New Vegas gives you the feel of a long forgotten Western on a barren backdrop. The visuals, the gunplay, and even the Classic music from these games have shaped my life for the better.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
elderscroll4rev4.jpg

Now since the release of the much anticipated and hyped sequal, Skyrim, I've seen an alarming amount of High School students religiously playing the game, but if I mention any of the older additions to the series, they look at me as if I am a small rodent speaking the word of god to them. No, I can't stand to see this game fall behind the veil, Oblivion is an amazing and immersive game. The character customization may not be the best, but the story mode is deep and very much so original.

Portal 2
ss_f3f6787d74739d3b2ec8a484b5c994b3d31ef325.1920x1080.jpg

Another one of Valve's gems. This game has probably given me more laughs than TF2 has given me hats. The comedy is smart, the characters defined, and the overall feel of the game has this eerie, "holy shit am I going to die in the next chamber?" feel. Between banter of GLaDOS and Wheatley, simply reading posters on the wall you can get lost in the sheer amount of work put into the game. Not to mention, it's simply beautiful (see image)

Super Smash Bros Brawl
smashbrosbrawlheaderjpg-9d9a5f.jpg

Call it a bandwagon, but I'm also listing this game. Smash Bros has always been an amazing series to me and no other mash-up games have even come close in my opinion. Being able to pelt Samus with fireballs while Snake lobs grenades at Squirtle has given me slight chuckles even up to today. Don't get me wrong, there are fighters I wish made an appearance as they did in the older ones, but I think this roster speaks for itself.

Sims 3
sims-3-house-screenshot.jpg

Onto this, Sims. What can I really say? Ever wanted to have your dream family creepily living together? Want to run into your neighbors house, play a Guitar, make some salad then leave? Finally, you can! Sims is a whole 'nother feel of a game to me. It's casual, just day by day playing. My only complaint I can really make is that, well, EA. Should explain itself, honestly.

Zoo Tycoon 3 (PC)
zoo-tycoon-5.jpg

I always love the Tycoon series of games, but Zoo Tycoon was the first I really got into. I was a wee lad of X years and I would go to my Aunt's house for the sole purpose of playing this 'beaut. I'd love building my own little communities of lions, or tormenting my park with T-Rex attacks. It was a quite violent game, looking back, but there was so much you could do and I have to mention it.

and last but not least...

Bioshock
bioshock_xbox360_screenshot_61.jpg

The twist of the game was spectacular, one I can only relate to something like Soylent Green. This smart, beautiful rendition of a neglected Subterranean civilization give me a taste of the Steampunk I love, the gun-play I crave, and the ability to shoot fire and lightning from your hands that I now want. How could one not love this game? Simple. They lack class. If you have not played this-Do it. As for the Sequels.... I never gave them the opportunity. It's not a matter of bad reviews, I just want to keep this as a one-off wonder.
