Updates for 1.8 Survival Server

If 1.8 comes back online then would it not be able to stay online for long due to 1.9 coming out behind it? Or could the update to 1.9 maybe be done without a wipe? Only asking because at some point I would like to work on some large projects that would require a lot of time to build. I don't really mind wipes when needed as long as they don't happen too often lulz.

Since 1.9 has been pre-released, they will begin modding for that.
1.8 server will most definitely NOT be up, there has to be a wipe or be unable to use the new features. Hopefully, bukkit won't be total losers this time around and actually do stuff.

Ok that sounds good. Then hopefully 1.9 will be online for a bit after they squish the bugs. ^^
