Why I don't call myself a "DJ".

Hello there, wonderful reader.

You know that mixing thing I do?
This one?
Yeah.

Half of the people who do Live mixing like I do call themselves DJs.
I'm not a DJ.

You know why?

Because I don't DJ. I have no turntables, I'm not employed anywhere, and I don't like the sound of it.
I mean, that_taco_DJ? that_DJ_guy? Doesn't fit.

I'd like to be known as that_taco_guy. Taco. It fits. It makes sense. Honestly, on my mixes, all I do is play what I like with really nice transitions. Sometimes I add a beat to it.

It's like a music game to me. If it sounds good, I win! If it doesn't, nobody listens to my stuff!

That's why I never say I "DJ".

Real DJs are people like Jetmike and Azninvazn. They have turntables, and sometimes they get gigs and stuff. Would that ever happen in my case? Not really. :p

Just wanted to put that out there.

(Also, to the people who call themselves "DJ"s who suck horribly, you give DJing a bad name.)

Really relevant:
