Wood and Pyramids

Had a bit of extra time, so I figured I would make something.

The original idea was to achieve the interesting visual effect that one side has when you look at it on a massive scale. Then I realized that it was just a pyramid and ran with it.

I found it to be a very fascinating visual effect, particularly when you play around with the lines on the wood blocks. I didn't choose the wood block for that reason, though. I just pressed a number and it happened to be wood.

The longest part of the design is 25 blocks.

The interior is hollow, as you can see. I considered furnishing it, but I was too lazy. So I built a tree.

Yo dawg...

I recommend cropping your images. I gave a brief glance to your minecraft structure, and promptly began examining your tabs, start bar, programs, time/date, barely visible background, and other unrelated objects. :D

Why do you have Internet Explorer on the start bar, when you clearly use chrome? What is that other tab you have open? Wow, you posted these pics very shortly after taking them! What is that red box on your background? I have never seen that type of Word Document icon before...

See what I mean? ;)

On a more related note, nice build. Simple, but still far more imaginative than some of the other stuff on the classic server. Geometric builds FTW.

Thanks for the suggestion, Cacti. I'll see what I can do about cropping in the future.

Since you asked, and I guess it's free advertising, that other tab is my girlfriend's blog on Tumblr. I keep it open because she put music on it and I like to listen to it and think of her. http://socalledfreak.tumblr.com/ is the link.

Geometric builds on a massive scale is kind of my thing. If you searched the forums for my first and second posts, you'd see that both of them fall into that category. As I explain in the post "Hi", I just figure out a repeatable pattern and grind on it to have something to do.

I remember reading that post, as I was impressed that you do your patterns without WOM. Also, are you playing on the T9K server?

No, this is single player. See, my things tend to end up taking up more than half a map. Besides, my connection tends to break. In order to make it convenient for everyone else and myself, I build alone.

My next project (which I'm actually working on right now) is making a rhombus with a width at the middle of 41 blocks with the dirt removed from around it so it can be seen from the outside. If someone started building that on T9K, where would he put it?

Cool Island/World. There is usually plenty of space and new worlds are created somewhat often. You do need to be cool rank to build there, but from what I have seen, that wouldn't be too difficult for you.

Oh, ranks.

I'm a bit crazy, the normal carrots don't motivate me, nor to the usual sticks. At this rate, I'll be the best known guest on the server.

More power to you then. See you on classic sometime, or do you only play singleplayer?

Depends on what I'm doing. Several of my ideas are based on having an underground environment. If so, I will do it on the server.

Funny story that, the first thing I built (I still don't have a name for it) was so wide, that random noobs who were looking for the lava ended up getting caught in it. I remember at least one freaked out and started telling everyone about the most awesome thing ever.

By the way, the first thing I did in Minecraft was find the lava. I was wondering how many other people did the same.
