@DutchCheese: People should seek other means of communication than text if they get confused by more than 3 sentences.
@lacar: I totally see the point, they're trying to make. BUT I'm absolutely not OK, with the way they arrogate themselves the function to decide when "everybody on the server" approves a grief. Considering their decision to put that passus in their constitution, I don't feel like we're dealing with the wisest of fellows here. So their decisionmaking about who's a bad guy is likely not going to be the best, either. To be blunt: They are by no means qualified to make such judgement.
In fact I find it adorable, almost ridiculous what they're trying to pull off here. As I already stated, such action will never be necessary the way it's menat to, since admins tend to react real quick lately. But IF it's going to happen, I predict it's going to happen not more than once (getting through more than one appeal is pretty unlikely). So you'd rather scratch it from your constitution.
I'm just putting this out here.
I didn't come up with the idea about 'locking off towns' or anything. I've been desperately been about keeping the Federation as a benevolent force. The WorldGuard is primarily focused with protecting goods on trade routes and protecting Federated towns from grief.
Whilst they will strive to help everyone in general, we certainly are not enforcing server rules; we are just enforcing Federation rules over Federation towns. In fact, that's a stretch. We don't want to cause any trouble - if a Federated town does something that's against the Federation rules - then so be it. We'll be nice about it, and if they won't be reasonable, then we'll simply just cut off the town in question from the Federation.
The last thing we want to do is make people unhappy. I don't want any empirical shit.
Now, can we just get back on topic?
I try my best to be professional.
Jeezuz, it seems to me that every time I go to sleep, a shitstorm has erupted on the server.
Let's sum it up, Pyro style:
The blocking-off town idea is scrapped. I don't know how it came about, but can we all just take everything with a bit of salt.
The WorldGuard will only be concerned with Federation business. Of course, if outsiders want our help, then they're free to it.
More than anything, I want the Federation to be a kindly body, and non-dominative.
Ahh....
I wish I could answer things better. Damn, sore fingers.
And Dein, in the future, I'd be a tad more tactful. You've said some harsh stuff about Xraptor and myself, not to mention the Federation. We'll let it slide - chalk it up to experience.
Forgive and forget.
