Officer sees man with human flesh hanging from his mouth assaulting an innocent bystander.
Officer tells the man to stop.
Man simply growls, resumes attack.
Officer opens fire.

With that kind of training and a zombie apocalypse, I think we'd be fine...

...which becomes slightly more relevant due to the fact that the guy wasn't on bath salts.

@_o

I'd get to mow all those people I hate down with my aresenal and even if they weren't zombies I'd kill 'em anyways and say that I found 'em that way xD Just think about it... Shrooms are undetectable. Just sayin...

Mushrooms can be detected up to a week after use, due to the production of psilocin from your body metabolizing psilocybin, but normally it is only 1-3 days after use. Also, it may not show up on the test that the lab was checking for, as unless they are testing specifically for mushrooms or they have a full blown lab and can run a gas chromatography/mass spectrometry test (boy it took me a while to Google that one), then it won't show up at all. I had to Google a few things there, I couldn't recall it all right off the top of my head, but I had a urinalysis test not to long ago and I had a long discussion with the lab technician while I was waiting. I would think a toxicology lab would have a mass spectrometry tester though... who knows though.
